Hi Macpep! Good to see you back amongst friends again! I hope the thunder didn't bother you too much. OH and I watched it because there was a spectacular lightening show that went on for about an hour but very little thunder surprisingly.fakeplastictwee wrote: »There was a vigil at my local park for two of the Manchester attack victims this evening. I think feeling that you're part of something important while it's happening highlights how significant sharing those moments with other people are to us, FPT. Standing up and being counted when we feel beleaguered is exactly the right thing to do but it highlights how, most of the time, we're trundling along worrying about things that, at the end of the day, don't really matter that much.
28/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all, 25/21 for me please.0

Just popping back to celebrate just over a year and 10 months booze free. Hope all are doing well. I could never have imagined I'd just give up.
I won't lie, I don't feel a million dollars or anything, but it is nonetheless good to feel like I'm losing weight easily and not going to die early as a result of alcohol (I hope). Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0 -

The cliche of one-day at a time is what it took. The first few months was hard. A few people told me "the cravings go" and they're right. I have them now occasionally, but they are not multiple cravings daily.
I don't know if I'll drink again. Putting pressure on myself by saying I won't seems foolish. But I'm happy with what I've done. Thank you for your congrats.
Good luck for the month! Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0 -
I'm mildly hungover and have no desire to drink today so am calling in early at 25/25 please. Target day
The bank balance has most definitely seen a difference again this month.
Congratulations flimsier, that's an amazing achievement!
PSL I think you're doing brilliantly. You may not feel as though you have cracked it yet, but do you think the you of 2 or 3 months ago would have believed you could achieve 25 AF days in a month? You're making huge progress.0 -

Fabulus, Flimsier! I often wonder if people who've posted for a few days, weeks or months and then nothing are okay so it's lovely that you popped back to tell us it's all going well. Good on you, and well done.
Interesting that you don't feel a million dollars - neither do I and it's been a while for me, too. I'm just so relieved not to be boozing that I can live with feeling a bit under par, although I'd love to feel sprightly, which I thought I would when I went AF.Poor_Single_lady wrote: »Filmsier

We all started with a Day 1, PSL. And I should think pretty much everyone thinks that they'll never get to where other people are, but we do.
Well done on getting to your target FPT. 25 is a major achievement.
29/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
