I don't suppose we could consider introducing an emoticon for people who actually beat their targets, as opppsed to just reaching it? I know I at least would find it hugely motivating.

Feel at 31 I should know better and have learnt.
I want to let myself have a few drinks but I don't seem to be able to Manage without making myself look seriously silly. Friends not cross or offended which makes a change but I did do some things I regret and shared all the thoughts in my head which I had been keeping secret.
It's now very embarrassing and I am hoping the next night will overshadow it.
So going for the month, trying to learn. I don't think I have gone a full month without alcohol since before I discovered it.
It shouldn't be too hard this week, running around with my embarrassing flashbacks but middle and later month are when the partys are happening.
We've all done it. I lost count of the number of times I embarassed myself and I have to say one of the things I don't miss (and there are a lot) is waking up knowing I'd let myself down ... again.14 for April, please, Shaggy taProbably the lowest score I have ever achieved. Right, here we go for a much better May. We have put our house on the market and are intending to leave the area completely, after 17 years here, which is causing me some anguish, although I know it is the right thing to do. Also, went on hol in early April. So that is my excuse for drinking far too much wine in April.
Sorry you're feeling pained about the house sale and moving, Pricey. I hope it all goes smoothly, at least.Toni'sfriend wrote: »Can I join you, please? Welcome Toni's Friend. Good luck with teetotal May - you can keep me company! I found quite the opposite when I stopped for good - the first few weeks were much tougher for me than keeping going and I wouldn't go back to drinking if you paid me. I think Poor Single Lady may share your difficulty with it as time goes on.
I might, however, succumbe to temptation one day when I have a pizza in front of me so I'm not taking anything for granted.
FPT, thanks for the info on B12 defficiency. I for one found it interesting. Let us know how getting your levels back up to somewhere near normal goes.
Thank you everyone for the comments on the 1,000 Day thing. I lost count of the times I woke up knowing I'd shown myself up the previous night and said, 'Never again' and I now think I might be getting there. It feels pretty good, I have to say.
3/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Calling in early with 3 please, Shaggy, ta
Thanks for your encouragement, HB, it means so much to me to know there are supportive people like you out there xx0 -
Delayed posting until now. I've been out for lunch and resolved not to have any wine. Wasn't sure how I'd cope as I always have a drink with this particular group. It helps that I'm out later and lunchtime drinking makes me so sleepy. The food was appalling and would have been much better with a drink but I managed.:D
3 AFDs please Shaggy.
Hoping for a full SNC (Mon to Thurs).:D0
