Hello everyone. I Didn't manage being AF today but I just wanted to thank HB for your kind words and all your support. How strange to be having lunch in central London and thinking of someone you have never met! The world has become a strange place Indeeed.
And everyone else thank you for kind words.
I am a bit worried About stumbling on not drinking for the whole month. But will take it one day at a time and see what life brings. I feel like I would like to be in charge of my alcohol intake rather than getting swept along with the tidal current that life can be.
Thank you again- which I too feel is somewhat feeble and does not cater for everything that I do feel!2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

Good on you, Barny!
It's a pleasure, PSL. I subscribe to a several threads and a couple are really, really important to me, in fact, there are no words to tell you how important they are to me. This thread, for very obvious reasons is anonymous, but on the other one I know for a fact that real life friendships have happened as a result of the contributions that people have made to other people's lives and not just to me. It's not strange to acknowledge to yourself how important people are, even if the way you know them is 'virtually' and 'anonymously.' I have no idea who or where Maman and Shaggy are, to name just two people, but I regard them as very important in my life because they've added so much to it just be being there, solidly, for the past three years along with everyone else who contributes.
27/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
Made it back here though only to add (after a disastrous month) that I am on just 2/20 AF days so far.
In defence, my pitiful excuse has been that the whole house building project got on top of me. It all kind of ground to a halt, but I finally kick started things again last week. Feeling bad about this but can't change the past etc so have to move on.
On the positive side the dog I was fostering got a wonderful forever home last week and they brought him round last night and he is a bundle of happiness and joy! Got another doggy now with some issues but a beautiful thing nonetheless.
Also positive I have stuck to my healthy vegan eating and am still walking the dog for between 1 hour to 3 hours a day and feeling the benefits.
Just so annoyed I let one stupid thing dictate my whole mood when there is so much to be thankful for and going well.
Have been catching up on missed posts and lovely to see the diversity of everyone's lives with dates, work, pets etc. Really have missed being here and even if it's only to post that I have not been AF every day, I should still stick at it!0 -

Well said HB - it is amazing the help and support we receive from people we have never 'met' on here :T
Probably my last day for April today but that takes me to 14/12 so I get another smiley :j:j I know that 14 is a drop in the ocean compared to some of you but I am quite content with that total. Also, I know that on the days I do drink now, far less is consumed than before I joined this thread0 -
Hi All
I have been just rubbish with alcohol, no way I am going to make my target this month & I have no excuses, its just greed. I only have another 2 to report making it 5/17 please Shaggy this is including declaring tonights early as I don't get much time after work to come online. It hit home with me when I was walking round the supermarket on Friday as she said because I hadn't filled in her permission slip she had missed out on one of her school trips (I couldn't even remember her giving me it) I felt like the worse mother ever these are just field trips but none the less so as of yesterday I am embarking on a 7 day AF week (fingers crossed) (I am doing a 7 day weight shred program as well) I have never done more than 2-3 AF days at the most so I have a challenge ahead of me, also going to me Caravan at the weekend & going to the clubhouse to see a Queen Tribute act. I am going to NYC on 8th May without the kids for a week for Our 20th Wedding Anniversary so I have also the stress of getting our cases packed, kids cases/school things organised for them as they are staying with my sister in law for the week , I don’t do it by halves!! Have not looked at May yet, will have a wee think
:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
