    Does anyone else on here , like me, almost don't want weekends to come around ?
    It's so easy not to drink in the week , on school nights , but come Friday night the big wine door is flung open !!

    I know that for at least a year, possibily even two, before I gave up completely that I dreaded going out with a certain group of friends because I knew I would drink too much and feel dreadful the next day. What's so odd looking back is how helpless I felt. The very last night I drank I was with them on a boat and took tomato juice and tonic to drink instead of booze. For some reason I didn't feel I could say no to the first glass of Proseco and then another person arrived and we all had a top up and then absolutely inevitably after I'd had those first two I didn't see the point of stopping and didn't want to. Bad things happened. So, although it was a Thursday night and not the weekend, I think what you're asking is exactly what I used to experience.

    What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
