PS well done shaggy for keeping score ,, I have trouble keeping my own , so I really don't know how you do it ,, but I'm sure I speak for everyone here and say I'm blinking glad you do!!:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0

I'm self-employed, so my finances are slightly erratic in that I don't get a fixed income every month, therefore don't have a fixed disposable income, so the amount I drink each month depends on that. So I'm not exactly sure how much I've saved, but I'd guess at at least £100. I'm probably underestimating how much I fork out when I nip to the pub 'for one' though!0

Morning :hello:
1 more for yesterday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

First day of my new target and I am already getting cravings. I'm at work, tired but not that stressed and thinking about buying a bottle on the way home.
I'm not going to, but it's such a habit!
I'm surfing the cravings- letting them just be. They're only thoughts and feelings I don't have to act on them'...it is only kindness that makes sense anymore ' Naomi Shihab Nye0 -
Huge congratulations to everyone who made it through January on target. Really brilliant vibe on the thread this month.
I watched the weightloss programme and wasn't in the least bit surprised that the champagne diet resulted in the woman finishing the bottle and thus didn't lose any weight. Entirely predictable.
As to the financial cost of boozing, I keep track of all of my spending so I know exactly what it used to cost me. Every six months after I gave up the booze I'd take the savings and spend them on something lovely. We've now got lovely huge blue pots on the sundeck holding raspberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and smelly shrubs like jasmine thanks to not boozing, and I did a lot of evening classes - beginners plastering, beginners carpentry etc and some new clothes that I wear every day with a bit of style, but mostly comfort.
1/28 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
