I'm calling 31/31 too please Shaggy. Apart from a few wishful glances down the wine aisle when in the supermarket it hasn't been too bad staying AF. I was contemplating buying wine tomorrow night but am going to resist and hold out until half term!0

Achieved 31/31 done and feeling pleased with myself and very proud of everyone else too! I'm so thankful for this thread and have found everyone else's comments and thoughts useful, making me reflect on why and when I drink. I haven't lost weight - possibly related to the chocolate I have eaten in the evening and also continue to struggle with sleep BUT (excuse the shout) I do feel more in control, I know now this drinking does not need to be automatic and I do have more time in the evenings! I hope to continue to drink more mindfully but am going to carry on posting so I am monitoring intake and number of days AF. Hopefully a good start to 2017 for all of us who took part in AF January - and continuing success to those who don't drink or who have successfully controlled their drinking.0

Many congratulations to everyone completing their dry January! Very envious as I wouldn't have the will power or the stamina, so well done to you all.
14/10 AF free tonight.0 -
Is anybody else watching How to Lose Weight Well on Channel 4? Someone has been put on the 'champagne diet', the idea being she eats luxurious, home cooked food with quality ingredients, and a glass of champagne to wash it down.
I think that could get dangerous for me :eek:0 -
24/25 AFDs for January0

That's 3/3 AFDs for January
Roll on February!
I did watch the aforementioned weight loss program and the woman on the Champagne diet had exactly the result I would have: she put on a pound due to drinking the one glass allowed and then drinking the rest of the bottle.

Congratulations to all the dry January people and everyone else who's done well in January too of course. Reading everything has been really interesting. I think I'd put on loads with the champagne diet!
Another 1 for me so 14/14 please Shaggy.
Sleep well all.0 -
Been out again tonight , this time dinner with friends , I was the driver , and the others all got into a heated debate over some silly subject , that wasn't really important to any of us , but I feel the drink seemed to stir their anger,,,,,,,,,!
13/9!!!

Can't believe that I completely forgot to post last night
31/31 please and 1/24 for tonight please. Well done to everyone for January and good luck for continuing in whatever form you want for February :T Thanks as always to shaggy for keeping score :A0 -
Firstly big congrats to all the dry Jans,,,
Out of interest how much money do you think you've saved , I think Roland said £300 ?,
I know you may not see the extra pounds in your pocket ( that happened to me when I stopped smoking ) but you must notice an increase to what was left in bank account at the end of the month ??
I joined late and still drink at weekends but I think I'm about £90 better off !:T:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0
