Dear just lost reply. 2 more AFDs for me, Monday and Tuesday. Pleased about Monday as not a good day and was definitely thinking 's*d it' but resisted. I am also going to declare uber early for tonight so that's 4/16 please. Like Maman I am trying to get ahead of the game and build up days before festivities really commence. I also hope to keep posting HB as it does help so much.

    Have a good day everyone

Thanks for that maggie. That is my intention but I'm finding it a struggle. I'm blaming Christmas because as things are getting more festive I keep fancying a drink. Last night I rewarded myself with some chocolate (haven't had any for weeks) as I figured a few calories there were better than wasting an AF night. So declaring for Tuesday and tonight.

    3 AFDs please Shaggy.

6 please, Shaggy, taAnd thanks for updating November's target list, I was so pleased to have smashed my target for once, and thought I had posted too late for it to go onto the list :j

I agree, Maman - I have been scoffing chocolate more often too, I agree it really does help to reduce the wine craving

    1/28 for me please

Given myself a ridiculous target but I need to change. I saw some of the people from the last drinking session this week. Surprisingly they were very nice about it but I cant let any of that happen again. My 28 day target will help. Im a much better version of myself when im sober. Hope its going well for everyone and December not too challenging

PSL, I hear you. I once announced to those I had embarrassed myself in front of the night before that I was going to buy a horse and focus on that to stop me going out!!!!

  • Right, I've no more to add for November and am declaring early for December with a result of 0 AFDs for 2017 :)

Only kidding, definitely aiming for my first AFD tonight and will mull over whether to set a target for December and if so what.

Hello -- do you mind if I join you.
I have been on here in the past but lost the password for that account, the email address was from an old employer so I had to start from scratch.
What's happened since I was last here?
I continued drinking and was up to 2 bottles+ per night - working out at an average of £12 per night (oh those supermarket buy 2 for £x deals!
I was warned by my Doctor on 11th November to cut down drinking because my LFT's were slightly elevated, I am also 3 stone overweight.
Since that appointment on 11th November I have been largely AF - by my standards anyway. My preference is not to drink as I can't cut down and gradually increase my monthly % of AF days.
In November I was AF for 19 days (63.3% of the month. Not too bad as I had been drinking all the days prior to seeing the doctor. In December I am aiming to increase that to 65% i.e. 20
So far, for December I have had 4 AF days and I am aiming for 20 days.

  • can I go 18 AF please. I've only had a drink on 2nd and 4th so far (1 beer and 1 baileys so only 2 drinks) and have done 5 AF days already but we are off to NYC on 17th then have christmas so realistically likely to drink when away, xmas and NYE. However, I am planning to try to have no more than 2 drinks per day in NYC.
