Afternoon :hello:
2 more AFDs for Sunday & Monday.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Thanks for all your work keeping track Shaggy.
Funny how something as small and seemingly trivial as a cat on the moon icon can motivate you to stretch yourself. I am extremely unlikely to get a second one this month as I am going on holiday, but I will try and it will be in the back of my mind if I do drink Fri/Sat/SunWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
Evening all - three more days AF since I last posted, so up to 11/25 now please Shaggy (including tonight) x
Hugs to people struggling a bit, for whatever reason xxx0 -
12 please, Shaggy, thanks0

11/15 for tonight and that's me until Sunday 27th. On holiday from Thursday so no more planned AF days until after we're back.0

I recognise this part of your problem smiley. I used to 'reward' myself with a drink when I got in from work. Another thing I'd do is spend all evening AF because I was working or driving or both and then get home, open a bottle and play catch up on what I'd missed. That wasn't enjoyable, relaxed social drinking it was just pouring it down my neck as quickly as possible.:o
Now I make a point of putting the kettle on as soon as I get in. I wouldn't dream of wasting a potential AF day by starting drinking late in the evening. I couldn't help notice your signature smiley 'Do I really need it? Probably not.:A.' I'm sure you can see the irony there. For me it's about making new habits. Good luck.:)
P.S. Why won't you make your target when there's 16 days left and you're only 3 off?
5 AFDs please Shaggy.
MamanThanks for the encouragement. I wrote that signature about buying things as I am trying to be more frugal but it applies very much to this thread!
I wrote my af days wrong. It was supposed to be out of 30 as I had pledged not to drink all month. I have drunk on 3 days so won't make it. But I did refuse a drink last night from OH even when he got the glass out for me.
Anyway I've got to go as I can hear the cat being sick repeatedly. Hurray!
So it is 12/30today please Shaggy.Do I really need it? Probably not.:A0 -
Thanks for the advice Honey Bear - there's a lot to think about. I am considering doing dry January but not ready to think about more yet. I would really just like to have a glass of wine or two occasionally rather than just drinking it.
Thank you so much for the cat on a moon, made my day! I now know how children feel wIth their stickers. 8/14 today please Shaggy0 -
10/20 for yesterday and 11/20 for today0

10/18 please Shaggy. Thank you.Live for the moment and plan for the future0
