The Giving Up/ Cutting Down alcohol support thread - number 13

Hello everyone,
I've not been on here for a while but I feel like I need to rejoin. I was teetotal for ages but can feel myself slipping back into old habits. Not good.
Can I have 31/31 please Shaggy.and Good Luck!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I want to save a bit of money by cutting down on my alcohol consumption. I currently have too few alcohol free days. I don't really like getting drunk - it's more a case of "a little" "too often" thing.
So can you put me down for 5/5 for October and 28/30 for November.
Ta.
Pushing out the MSEfor you. Good Luck!

I was supposed to do sober in October, which I successfully did last year but I sadly lost my dad on the 5th of the month and a few glasses here and there took the edge off. Did manage 3 AF days at the beginning of October, one in the middle and yesterday, today and the last 3 days of October will be a total of 9 AF for October (I think, correct me if I'm wrong).
I would like to pledge 30 AF days in November....

Welcome eltee:). So sorry to hear your sad news.
I think you did well to manage any days under the circumstances. Good luck for your dry November.0 -
Welcome and good luck, BornToBeFree!
Congratulations on your two year soberversary Morecambe.Bae! And I'm with you on the 'Yay for the Sober life!' I love it, too.borntobefree wrote: »OK so tonight I'll change my routine a bit. I'll think about this.
The only way I could manage the early days was to go to bed really early and read, and in the very early days what I read was sober blogs. I still love having an early night two and a bit years on, but my reading material has changed quite a bit and it doesn't happen quite as often. It works, though.
Well done, CathyBird!
Glad to hear you've got your mojo back, Maman.
Welcome back Smiley 77. Being here helps keep me on the straight and narrow - I hope the thread works it's magic for you again.
Hi Eltee12. It's tough coping with any bereavement, and you have my sincere condolences on the loss of your father. (((hugs)))Better is good enough.0 -
