The only way I could manage the early days was to go to bed really early and read, and in the very early days what I read was sober blogs. I still love having an early night two and a bit years on, but my reading material has changed quite a bit and it doesn't happen quite as often. It works, though.
I've changed my routine the past two nights and have gone to bed early to read. But not on my ipad. Bought myself a couple of gardening magazines. Very relaxing. Also made sure I wasn't over caffeinated.

Good morning everyone,
16 AFD please Shaggy.
[COLOR="Black" ]resisted the temptation last night and read my book instead. October has been quite a long month, and I feel as if I've drunk a lot on the days I did drink. I have to keep reminding myself that my target is just that and if I can achieve more then that is a positive.
Abroad again for a few days next week, don't want to go as it's not a holiday/break.
Have a good weekend everyone.

The trouble with having very early nights when kicking the drinking habit into touch is that the early nights become addictive - I love, love, love going to bed and reading. For complicated reasons that's not as easy as it was and I'm missing them like crazy! I'm so glad it's working for you, BorntobeFree. You'll adapt really quickly to the clock change, don't worry.
The apples and pears we picked were going soft and I don't have any space in the freezer for anything else, so I decided to bottle them in various different types of booze that have been cluttering up the drinks cupboard that have been around for years and years. While I was doing it I talked myself into thinking that apples in brandy or pears in cognac would be fine for me as a dessert. Crazy. So, even after two plus years the temptation is obviously still there.
30/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
