Hi,
even if it was something worrying, the labs pull up false positives more than real ones. They just have to do another check to make sure everything is fine.
You may have picked something up, CMV could be something that most people have had as children but you tested negative until now.
Or maybe counts of something were raised and they want to see why that is. I'd try not to worry, although I can understand why you would!
You say you went to Egypt a while ago (which, incidentally, is not one of the risky places to go!). Have you been to USA, Austria, Italy? Anywhere outside the UK? The three I mentioned all have West Nile Virus, although only until 30th November. It's nothing to worry about.

Just a quick update. The result was the same with the retest, but was labelled a "non-specific reaction, of no signficance to [my] health".
I'm none the wiser as to what it was all about, but as long as there's nothing wrong with me, I can live with that!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244
