I had a call like this when I went for fertility blood tests.. I had high level of folate - from the folic acid tablets I was taking! I carped myself for over a week before I could see the dr as the receptionist didnt explain what was wrong on the phone just that I had to see a dr!

    !!!!!! is all that about?
  • Well the "kit" has arrived - a big plastic box filled with test tubes and instructions for the GP/nurse taking the blood. The covering letter now makes it sound like this is some sort of research project. So now I haven't a clue what this is all about or whether there could actually be anything wrong with me!

Intriguing. What does the letter say? Perhaps they don't actually think you're human.

if you are a rare blood group, would you get a response like this, anyone know ?

No you don't, I'm AB- and they didn't say or send me anything :)

LOL. The first letter said "one of the routine tests performed gave unusual results and we would like to repeat the test on a second sample". Then the second letter said "thank you for agreeing to have a second sample taken". I think I've confused myself with phoning one of their clinics because there's a recorded message about people involved in their "studies".

Anyway, going to GP next Friday so they can take more blood and send it off. We'll see what happens.
