Ebay fees paid late - bully boy tactics by Transcom

They just called me again, I spoke to them, they asked to confirm details, I said they should have my details if they are calling me, they said they would send me a letter.
What next!0 -
Further update today. They are still calling and texting me.
I called Trading Standards, they said to speak to ebay which I have done, however I am still getting harrassed by these idiots.0 -
It might not seem like it, but they will soon get bored if you just ignore them. Dont hang up, just put your mobile in your pocket and get on with your day. The only thing they can do is start court proceedings but I dont think that is likely for £16.0

The only thing that did concern me, is at the foot of their letter it states ''Failure to respond may result in further action begin taken against you. This may include scotcall, our doorstep collection agents, to visit your home and collect the debt personally''.
Is it not correct that they can only come to your for if you make an appointment with them?
If you send another letter remove their implied right if acsesIf i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -

Thanks, I will have a read through those links.
To update again today, I have been receiving some correspondence from ebay, and as expected, they are basically washing their hands of the situation and suggest I contact Transom. They have also acknowledged receipt of my payment.
Despite my harassment letter sent last week, Transom are still calling me daily. Even though I already spoke to another one of the operatives this week and advised that I do not give out personal details over the phone. I may call Trading Standards again today, and then possibly Offcom. They also called me last Saturday morning. It is outrageous behavior, and is in fact now harassment.
Can I not tell them they have the wrong number, and politely instruct them to stop calling? I wonder if that would work? I may also write another letter and make a formal request that they remove my details from their system under the data protection act. Anyone have a link to a piece of legislation detailing relevant info relating to this?0 -
Gents, day of triumph!
I had noticed on Tuesday that my 'daily call' from my good pals at Transcom had stopped, as of Tuesday. Then yesterday (Wed), no call again.
I arrived home to a letter last night. I opened it with anticipation, expecting it to be a further demand but in the form of a letter now the calls had stopped. In short, it was a reasonable length document, but in a nutshell they acknoledged my complaint, assured me their customer contact policy was in line with current regulations, they didn't really agree with me but were willing to waiver the charge on this occassion as a 'good will' gesture, so a successful outcome. :T
On a final note, I think I will ensure I pay my invoices on time in the future, however, the priciples at stake were the main bone of contention for me, and bullying the common man to pay dues they don't really owe is just not right, so I am happy with this mini triumph.
Thanks for all the advice and links chaps, much appreciated. I wish good karma be bestowed upon all who helped me.:A0 -
Arguing "principles" when the situation arose from a late payment from you is a bit of a mixed metaphor.0
