maybe that is why the whole system is doomed to failure. Maybe marx was right when he said capitalism would fail because eventually the workers would be priced out of buying the things that are produced.
the majority cant continue buying things with borrowed money indefinatelyShould people in 2010 been paid less than in 2004 as cost of living were less than then?
are you saying the cost of living was less in 2010 than 2004?0 -

what about the majority who go for it and fail. Would you praise their guts when they are sleeping in the back of a car? It would be just as easy to criticise their recklessness
i look at it like a football league with 20 teams where the botton 16 get relegated
at the start of the season - no matter how each manager prepares or how skillful or hardworking they are - 16 are going to lose their jobs0 -

And its the quoted mentality which means you wouldn't be successful, those that start a business do so believe it will work.
then they are as gullible as the 80% of drivers who think they are better than average
the whole system relies on most failingAnd yes, I have more admiration for those that gave it a go and failed than those that didn't and moan.
i know someone who started his own sports shop lost his lifes savings, is now on tablets and seems close to suicide
i doubt your admiration would cheer him up much0 -
its not just the person that owns the business that is taking a risk but all the employees as well.
The way to improve your lot is to get smarter, learn better paid skills.0 -
Quick question. If people don't get a pay rise to at least match inflation is that effectively a pay cut?0

Jesus........ I'm sorry OP but I'm just going to be blunt here and say what I'm thinking. If you're not happy, stop b!tching and do something about it! Instead of spending hours whining to strangers online, use that time to do look for a new job.0

That sounds dangerous
Well in that case keep your head down and take what you are given. If they can afford to pay you more (only they know that), they obviously think you deserve no more.what about the majority who go for it and fail. As someone once said "Nothing in life would ever be achieved if it were first necessary to overcome all possible objections.
I am beginning to think that this is a big wind up. I still cannot understand what you want from this thread.
I'm out!Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

they still hold all the cards, if they choose not to play those cards because they want to keep you, that's a different matter, But the power still lays with them, which was the point I was making.0
