Morning all
Got paid from 63336 this morning- £130 after tax thanks to my poor effort last month. (This month is looking to be an even poorer effort since one week in and I'm only on £23. Urgh. I loathe myself.)
So £100 paid off towards the overdraft, the other £30 is going to have to go into my grocery budget I think to compensate the stupid overspending of this weekend's Morrison's trip. I'm still p!ssed at myself over that.
At least I'll meet my £500 target this month, but I don't think the OD is going to be paid off by the end of May like I thought it would be last month.
I need to get ebaying really. I have my iPhone 4S to sell still (anyone interested? ha!) I've been hanging on because OH's sister said she was interested but I need to try and sort out unlocking it and I just haven't got on with it.
Neither have I got on with phoning Orange to query the £10 they robbed me of last month. I'm not very proactive... but when you don't get home from work until 6.30 (or later) the last thing you want to do is be arguing with some non-English speaking wazack on the phone.
SSDD, etc. etc.!!
P.S. Thanks sassy for your kind words as always! xx0 -
No worries hon, no idea if they helped or made any sense but at least you know I read your ramblings
It's a bit rubbish when you get your pay that you've been looking forward to and it's not as much as you thought isn't it. But, this month you have learnt that not working as much + Morrisons shop = not a good month. But never fear! Kind old 2014 has another 7 months just sitting there free for anyone to use and you can make of them what you want, so take another and make it better.
Have a great evening, oh just looked at the time. Have a great day tomorrow! lolxx

Happy Monday everyone! [/end sarcasm]
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
Not much to report on since we're in that rubbish 2-week period where nothing happens between getting paid. As usual I've not much left but I'm within budget so it's all good I suppose!
Caught up a bit on 63336 over the weekend - on £65 or so now which is better than the £23 I was on last time I wrote. Still a bit behind but I've done £10 a day for the last few days and hope to keep that up. I'm struggling since I'm always exhausted lately so the last thing I want to do after a full day at work is more work. Not sure why, OH says I should go to the doctors- maybe he's right! I'm feeling brighter than I have been the last few weeks at least, but maybe it's all connected somehow.
From tomorrow ebay is changing their listing fees - so instead of 100 free 99p auction listings per month you get 20 free listings of any type. Since I like listing buy it nows rather than auction, this goes in my favour. I think because of this I'm going to try and list 5 things on ebay every week. I sorted out a cupboard in my living room which was full of all kinds of junk, and there's a fair few things from there I can list, so I'll get cracking with that this week.
Hope everyone has a good afternoon x0 -
Hi hon
Yes yes yes, you MUST go to see the doctor! If you're feeling exhausted for no reason there may be something underlying and even if there isn't at least you will have your mind (or rather your OH's) put at ease.
Thanks for letting me know the ebay listings had changed. My emails go to an account I don't bother to check that often so didn't know this. Not sure what I think of it but hey ho. If it helps you then that's brilliant! Good luck.
Have a good dayxx

I second what sassychick says - get yourself to the doctor to get checked out, just to be on the safe side. Glad you're feeling a little bit brighter than what you have been though

Made a couple ebay sales in the last couple of days. Just withdrawn £50 from Paypal and straight into the OD pot. That's taken me over the £2000 mark - over £2000 paid off since January. Just think of what I could have bought...
Happy friday everyone. Hope you have a good weekend xx0 -
Well done on your ebay sales! Over £2000 paid off since January is amazing - just think about what you'll be able to buy after you become debt free
Hope you have a fab weekend.

Ever feel like people are ever so helpful and nice as pie to other people, but then just talk down to you?! Sometimes I don't know why I bother.
I've been having a bit of an internal debate with myself lately. Now the OD is nearly gone - which nobody seems to care about, it's a big achievement to me and I'd like to celebrate but hey ho no chance - I don't know what to do. The CC is interest free for another 16 months or so. Is there any point in me burning myself out trying to pay £500 a month off? It's not going to save me any money. It still would be nice to be completely debt free by Xmas, but it's getting difficult. I'm struggling to do much 63336 in the evenings because I'm just so exhausted all the time. It gets me down not having much spare money to do stuff. So.. I don't know. Don't know whether to pay off what I can without worrying about reaching £500 every month or to carry on the way I'm doing and make sure I get that £500 pm so in 6 months time I can celebrate being completely debt free.
Without the slog it'll take me an extra 4-5 months I'd imagine. Not sure if it's worth it.
Bit of support would be nice but outside of the 2 or 3 of your lovely ladies who read this (& I appreciate you all immensely), there's not much available.
Oh well. suck it up, Kim.0 -
Hi Kim, sending you a big hug - you sound really down at the moment. Being debt free by Christmas would be fabulous but not if its going to make the next 7 months of your life hell. If you're tired all the time and stressing out about making the £500 target every month, then it really isn't worth it.
As you say it would be an extra 4 or 5 months (which is nothing in the grand scheme of things) and at least you would hopefully feel less stressed out. Could you possibly work out how much you can comfortably pay each month and aim to pay that plus say £50. Then you would have more money to do fun stuff but would still be paying off a bit extra.
Getting rid of the OD is a huge achievement and you should definitely do something to celebrate, even if its just using £10 or 20 to treat yourself to something you really want.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

Thank you Tara hun. Much appreciated
I'll see how I feel come pay day (Friday). It's the first month of my new post-payrise wage, so the extra £40 I see from that may be a big help. Currently I'm paying £300 p/m straight out of my wages to debt, then raising the other £200 through 63336/ebay etc. This month I've only got up to £80 or so on questions (and there's tax to come off that too, urgh). I just need to get my @$$ into gear really.
The £300 from my wages I'm paying off debt is about the maximum I can afford, realistically. Unless I leave myself next to nothing for "fun" money. I'm not exactly depriving myself, I've been having around £80 'fun' money a month, which sounds like a lot.. and IS enough, but it's just been eaten up very quickly. I think I've just been slipping into old habits a bit of making lots of small pointless purchases that are adding up. Easily done when you're feeling a bit under the weather.
Well... new month soon, new payday - hopefully I can just have a fresh start and try a bit harder.
I do really want everything to be gone by the end of the year, because next year I'm wanting to be able to start driving lessons, and start saving, be able to go on holidays etc. without feeling guilty that money should be going elsewhere... until this month I was managing just fine. Maybe I should just rack it up to a bad month, once I'm feeling better in myself it should be easier.. theoretically anyway! :S0
