They can check you have an account with this information, although they cannot access it unless you give permission. They have already forced me to give my email and direct gov gateway account number to them.
I feel she is going to sanction me anyway for no using the directgov website and uploading my CV among other stuff.

Stick to your guns.I don't see it on my job seekers agreement. I only see "Check my universal jobmatch account for jobs".
All I see on the job centre website is spam catalog delivery jobs. Ever since it was taken over by Monster, the amount of spam jobs have tripled and my chances of finding work have gone down hill. I have found better websites that actually advertise jobs I can get.
I will say I prefer to write them down and that the job centre website only gives me useless spam jobs. I know I am going to feel the wrath of those old cows at the job centre, but I will not be bullied into doing something so pointless.
It's your account, it belongs to you & it's optional whether you give access.
That is why there is the optional tick box on Profile page to give access.
So it's your choice.
If they keep lying, ask them to show you in writing it is Mandatory to allow access and they'll soon shut up.0 -

A requirement of receiving JSA is to register for UJ and to upload a public CV and profile.
There is no requirement to allow JCP staff access to your a/c. However if you do not allow access you could be ' directed' to provide evidence of a 'public CV and profile'. If you do not provide evidnce then your JSA claim could be sanctioned.
So just for 1 adviser meeting you could allow access and then immediately disallow access.
I would certainly discourage claimants' allowing JCP access to UJ a/cs.
Please be aware that as a Work Programme Completer your attendance at the jobcentre could well become increasingly more uncomfortable.
All the best
I didn't realise you had to make a CV public. It isn't on my job seekers agreement and no one has mentioned it to me.0 -
spira, nannytone has a point.
What is it that's stopped you getting work for the last 2 1/2 years. And I'm not judging you. I've been claiming JSA for a while, I've identified some of the problems and hopefully being referred to the WP will help me.0 -
Wow.. the group interview had 2 other people there and it lasted 3 minutes. She just ready some things off the sheets and told us there was a 38% success rate for this thing.
She then brought me over to the desk and tried to check my account but I hadn't allowed access to it. She said I had to allow access and I just stayed quiet. She isn't even the person that I sign on to anyway. It just seems she's there to catch people out.
A 38% success rate means one of the three of you will get a job from it. Change your attitude and it might be you.0 -

I read this thread to post advice. After reading everything and your response to nannytone pointing out you have been unemployed for 30 months or so its no surprise you didn't even listen in the group session :rotfl:0 -
