I've had one for years though I rarely shop at Sainsburys. They sometimes send money off vouchers through the post and quite often I get good till spits - double points, money off. Just before Christmas I had a £2.50 off when you spend £15 on alcohol and as I "needed" wine I used it on that. Also, as others have mentioned ebay, etc and if you have th nectar search bar downloaded you can collect points as you search - 1 point for every two searches (not a lot but it all adds up). HTH.

    Not necessarily..

You can also collect nectar points through their search bar , through the "adpoints" website, and through other internet "specials"

Well you have to buy food somewhere.

Like JackieO, I'm not loyal to any particular store but Sainsbury's is the most convenient (closest to Aldi so saves fuel) for top-up shopping where prices vary little from one shop to another.

I have got loads of free stuff via Nectar. I used to spend the points on Amazon, but they have stopped that so now use Argos. I have got £100s of stuff over the years. The main local supermarket and petrol station is Sainsburys so I would be spending my money there anyway. I use collect points online via adpoints etc.

I've had one for years, don't often shop at Sainsbury, argos, homebase, BP etc, only a few times a year, in total I've had about 2,000 points and to be honest for me it's pretty much a complete waste of time. You barely get any points unless you chase the offers and use certain shops. Spending the points is a bit pants too, you barely get any value in sainsbury vouchers (other deals you get 'better' value but I still don't think they're great)

OH has already, I got one and Sainsbury's aded my points to his card instead of mine so I gave up

We don't spend a lt at Sainsbury's - milk if we run out, the odd tshirt here and there and occasional DVD. We never get many points and OH spends them to take money off things like clothes in the sales.

Not necessarily - the bulk of mine come from providing online meter readings to British Gas each quarter - something which I'd do anyhow and which costs me nothing.

They keep sending me 4x£5 off £20 weekly spend vouchers plus 1000 nectar points. Trouble is even after the discount tis a job to find sometime cheaper in Sainsbury than elsewhere.
