Well today hasn't turned out exactly as planned :(

Took dd out on her (freecycle ) scooter...she needs a run like a puppy! Went to the Post Office in town (about 15 min walk)

dd moaned halfway there and wanted me to carry scooter...erm no I don't think so!!!

Whist in PO all of a sudden felt so ill with shivers and pains....thought I felt extra tired and achy last night :( Had to get home pronto...but painfully slow due to dd dragging her feet

Had to buy some medicine for a fiver....usually these 24hr viruses knock me for six but thankfully meds kicked in and mainly have headache. So grateful to be home.

At least managed to post headphones back for refund.

Kids are going to their dads tomorrow...last minute arrangements. He's turning all domesticated apparently......well at least it means our yellow sticker chicken will last through to Tuesday now :rotfl: my fridge literally contains old Brussels sprouts, two red peppers, marg, milk and some salad cream!!

We are going to eat every last thing before next Saturday when I will have to go shopping!

Ali...I used to charge phone at work...forgot about that!
Ig...I have a fantasy of living out in the sticks! I have really noticed different issues relating to country/ city dwelling on here. I think petrol cost is a big one...didn't think about gas supply! A friend of mine lived in a 'chocolate box' thatched cottage but had to heat house with oil. She said it was really expensive?

  • Awww Rach,

Hope you are feeling better soon!! Drink plenty of fluids (non alcohol! :rotfl:) and take paracetamol and get plenty of rest. Lemon in hot water always works wonders for me if I'm feeling ill. Hope it's just a 24 hour thing. Poor you :(

Then  ex decides to come in the house to have a 'heart to heart' type of convo with me in my PJs and ill head on...what the...

The kids were going to his for the first time with his gf and their child...it is a very long and complicated story  Needless to say I didnot want said heart to heart....just wanted to get on with things

He's still trying to pull me in emotionally. Have too much to do to deal with it! :(

Feeling ok though. Am feeling the need to check my insurance and Sky package because bless you Ali your subtle reminders are wonderful motivators!:rotfl:

Ooh well done on getting lots done already.

Sounds draining with the ex and the last thing you need when you're feeling under the weather as well.

I got myself sorted and have listed 3 things on the Bay of e - took 2.5 hours! :rotfl: Still, with free BIN listings, I could make £75, 1 already has a watcher within mins of it going up :j

Dogs enjoyed their run/walk/finding mud, poorly paw Doglet No.1 doing ok too.

Beef brisket has been in the oven since lunchtime surrounded by stock, carrots, onion and garlic. Oh I'm so going to smell of the stuff infront of a client tomorrow

Off with DS now to clear the bookcases and see if there's any we can get rid of. Need to research sites that buy them as running out of room to keep piles for car booting :D

Wanders off to get a cup of tea and whistling a song with Meerkats in it :rotfl: Me - subtle? :D

Oh you are an :A Ali

If it wasn't for you I certainly wouldn't have got that done :T

Yes I was feeling rubbish and didnot want to talk to the ex (at least kids have their dinner out and I got to save some money!) :rotfl:

Next thing *picking your brains* CARBOOTS :D

I have a ridiculous amount of stuff bagged up in the basement. I did a couple of random bootsales when I was desperate and pregnant (another whole story!) but didn't make much money as I was an idiot :rotfl:

Any tips? Meant to do some last year but wasn't motivated. I AM DOING LOADS THIS YEAR...even if I have to give it away :D

My aim is to clear the absolute junk out of the basement which has accumulated for 10 years...think I even have an old oven down there...not sure...can't see it through the rubbish! :rotfl:

I refuse to put my dismantled xmas tree back down there until I've sorted it out. So must do it.

Not an ebay girl (yet) although have an account and buy stuff :o
Need time to understand it. My work life is ridiculous so anything time consuming gets pushed aside.

    Floors not washed yet

    Take care
