I think the folder with photos in the internal memory can be seen and copied/moved similarly.
Thanks for reply.

Am stuck from the very start....
Sorry where do i go from here to try and pull the photos back ??:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Your question has already been answered. Find the pics folder on the built-in memory and then copy that over to the PC, just as you did from the memory card (not from the SIM).
If for some reason it won't copy direct from there, copy it first to the memory card and then to the PC (or you could remove it and use a card reader on your PC, if it has one).
If that folder has been deleted, then you've lost those pics.
Did you not keep any kind of backup in case the phone was lost or damaged though? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Connect the phone to the PC as an external USB storage (after connecting in the phone allow files to be copied to/from PC = turn on USB storage). Thanks for reply.

Start Windows Explorer on PC (Win+E).
Find the 'removable disk' corresponding to the phone.
In this disk find the folder(s) with photos (I guess they are called DCIM).
Copy/move them to the PC.
It's a general procedure for Androids.
It can be different if you use Samsung's Kies(?).
If the above is too complicated for you seek help from a more knowledgeable person.0 -
It's not a good idea to keep all your piccies just on the phone or it's memory card - you should back them up onto your computer as well. If you lost the phone or damaged it you would lose the lot.
Likewise it's a good idea to save a backup of all your contacts/addresses and other data that's sitting in the phone - it's a real pain if it all gets lost. I know, I've done it.
You'll never ever get your photo's back if the phone gets lost or stolenNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Hi
Sorry for the delay.
Yippee. this has worked although the photos doubled up to 8,000. Don,t mind that at least I got 98% of them.
One small but though. I did notice about 40 photos didn,t go over. These where the last few .
Any ideas??
I cannot thank you enough to be honest. I tried a load of info on youtube but this website is by far the best:T:T:T:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -

Hi
I agree with you 100% here as 16 months ago it actually happened when I had my new phone. I had 250 contacts plus my husband contacts for work. Horrible feeling at the time.
Now that I have actioned the photos ( fantastic news ) how I do I store my contacts onto my pc.
Many thanks:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Your contacts have to be stored in your google account. Check it and if they aren't there just switch synchronisation on in your phone settings ('Accounts & sync').0

Could suggest you have a cloud storage app like Dropbox installed on your phone. Will automatically download a copy of any photo you take with phone. Any picture you take on phone will still be there on phone.
If any problems with data allowance, you can set up app to only download up to cloud when you are connected to your home WiFi.
Glad I had done this as my phone packed up recently. I had a copy of photos.:AThe more I live, the more I learn.
