I'm going to pledge £0 again this week, I could afford to give myself something but I know I've got a friend's birthday next week so I want to put the money aside for that instead :)

I'm currently £275 overdrawn and my goal is to only spend £25 between now and February. It's going to be tough but I have a separate food budget that comes out of our joint account so I just need to resist the urge to buy stuff like clothes/snacks!

Oh yeah, and I finished on £0/£0 last week, it was tricky but it feels good to have done it :)
  • Please can you put me down for £4 please? I went over last week because of the fishtank needing new filter pads :@

£5 spend for me today on a mcD's. I justified it to myself that as i'm going back to my diet class on wednesday and fast food will be firmly off limits, i deserved a final treat. :)

    £5 left for the week.

    Evening everyone

Blimey welcome to all the newbies. And welcome back to the regulars. :hello:

Hi Jojitsui - welcome. :hello: You have to set a budget which is realistic and will work for you. Don't worry about how it compares to others, we all have bigger weeks than others and we all work out our budgets differently. No point setting a small budget and then overspending. :D

Well done on last weeks green Mooomin, Jonesy88 and flyinggiraffe :j:j

Hi DomRavioli and welcome. Well done on becoming debt free. :j:j and good luck with the weekly challenge.

Good luck cookie and nowpanicking :D

Mummy2threeboys - have you found the sealed pot challenge and are you a member, it's in the diaries section if you want to join us over there too.

Awww never mind frugaldances, at least it wasn't a frivolous spend. And I presume the filter was actually required. :D

Oooo well done DD265 on making money and having an orange week, I've never actually managed that. Although I could include my birthday money to make this week orange but feel that's cheating as I haven't made that, just been given it.

And well done to HKitten on the purple week. And good luck with a £0 budget again his week. Don't think I've even had a purple week before, something always crops up.

On that note, I've reduced my budget to £5, had that left from last week but couldn't get another £5 from cashpoint so will see if I can make it last. :D

    First post updated to here

And thanks for the birthday wishes. As we celebrated it on Saturday I keep forgetting that's it's tomorrow. :D
