EXPIRED 3 Christmas cards for £1 @ clintons

Hartlepool was exactly the same - but their offer was half price Christmas cards but 3 for £1.00 on some rather nice open birthday cards each costing at least £4.00.

Same in Maidenhead. I had bought some from the 3 for £1 offer, went to get some more and they all just 50% off, its crazy, why would we pay more for something than we paid a week before? Lots and lots of cards left. I did buy some wrapping paper at 75% off.

Went to two shops today some yankee candles in one shop 50% off. Next shop same candles full price. The left doesnt know what the rights doing.

In Shrewsbury, I bought a load of cards for £6 a couple of days ago on the 3 for £1 offer. Never usually shop in there. Well chuffed! Went in yesterday and they had notices saying 'half price'. I asked one of the assistants and she said that the store was heaving on the days it was 3 for £1 but hardly anyone has bought anything since it's half price.
I was a bit disappointed as I've still got a few more cards to get, but will support my usual local independent card shop for the rest of them, as they do half price on Christmas cards in their already discounted zone, which works out from 15p per card! I'd only got the uber posh cards from Clintons on the 3 for £1 offer anyway.

I went to Clintons and as everyone has said they are now 50% off, I asked the lady and she said that it was only ever going to be a 24 hour offer and that no one was now buying the 50% off cards, infact there was me and one other person in the whole shop:eek:

Uhm, silly idea to do one thing so cheap and then panic and do another one that no one will now touch:o

did you see the very posh christmas paper, bags, boxes, tissues, gift tags all 75% off mine was over £2 a sheet got 4 sheets for £1.79 black and gold embossed but lots of designs, i was impressed
