I know, "some people" eh?! :D

Another NSD scored here today - well I suppose technically I oughtn't to count it "yet" but I have no plans to spend anything between now and midnight, so I flipping well will! :T

I'm only 1 off my target now...which means it's going to go to the wire - I HAVE to do it tomorrow, because there will definitely be money spent on Thursday.....

:rotfl::rotfl: Tish, boom! starnac - you are on fire with your one-liners - well funny :rotfl::D

Thank you for the explanation regarding the 'spotting scope'. I take it that they are the sort of one-eyed telescopes that cost double what a pair of binoculars would........ :p Actually though, I like caz's point about being able to attach a camera to the scope. That would be useful - presumably high end DSLR, but none the less, useful :D

Ah-ha - actually, no Greying - there are attachments for ordinary compacts too, and even for iPhones - Simon King does a fair amount of wildlife photography with his iPhone attached to a scope these days. very clever, but I can never see myself putting in that level of investment. (Mind you, 3 months ago I wasn't going to upgrade my camera, so.... :p)

Morning! Sun was out here, but now appears to have scarpered again, so perhaps we *are* going to get the weather that was forecast, after all... :o NO extra time to be worked today AT ALL - it will feel a nice novelty to be scooting out of the door at 5pm as I'm meant to! My invoice has come in with me and been scanned in though - I'll set up an email on delay to send that through while I'm away. :T

Dinner last night worked well - chicken curry, using up the final onion and the last two (slightly soft but perfectly edible) small potatoes. Also used the final scrapings of garlic from a jar in the fridge, and a dollop of yogurt - meaning that the bowl of yog I had for my pudding finished the pot. It also finished the last of MIL's gorgeous rhubarb puree. Excavated the freezer last night too - all the food is now in the top and bottom drawers, packed nice and tightly together, and the middle drawer currently has the ice-packs - most of which will be going with us in the cold-box, and a couple of plastic bottles full of water that will be staying in there with some more added to take up some of the extra space. Might as well have it running as efficiently as possible while we're gone, eh! Tonights risotto will use up some more chicken, the last two leeks, the final two peppers from a jar in the fridge, and a handful of frozen peas, and the parsnips are going to be made into soup when I get home tonight which can then be frozen. That chicken is doing astonishingly well - it will have done three main meals and two lunches for both of us, and there will still be a complete leg left over. :D 'Twas only a dinky one too!

Tonight will mainly be about packing the car, and tidying up....list needed I think:

Parsnips peeled chopped and on to cook in chicken stock
    Tidy front room
    Vacuum-based dust rearrangement :D
    Make soup
    Set washing machine
    Cook dinner
Strip remaining chicken leg and freeze
Put another plastic bottle of water in freezer
Blog post - finish, photos and schedule
    Finish packing
    Pack car
Burn a couple of new CDs for the car
    MrEH - shirt ironing
Register with RAC for their benefits scheme
    Clean kitchen
    Clean bathroom
    Freeze soup once cool
    Clear larder
Check fridge for anything that needs dealing with.
    Morrisons voucher > Purse
    Orchard submission for product trial
Last minute meter read - electric
Zero car mileage counter as I get home tonight

    Today's Updates:

    NDS's - 10 10/10 :) :j
    Food - 3 x shopping trips needed* 3/3 :j
Food : Meal plan right through the month Yes! Got this week all planned out so DONE! :j
Grocery Budget: No more than £70 spent £57.58/£70 :T :j
Survey Network: Hit £20 threshold and request payout Woo hoo - done! :T :j
OnePoll : make 50p a day average in answered surveys £12.55/£15.50
ISA : get them sorted - [STRIKE]1 new[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]1 for transfer[/STRIKE] 1 new opened and first deposit made. Decision also made about the transfer one - leaving it where it is for now, seeing what interest rates do and possibly shifting in to Nationwide in a while :j
Electricity : Get it changed to new supplier. done - going to Flow Energy - no exit fees so if they're rubbish we'll leave again! :D :j
Tax Return - complete and submit DONE! :j :j
    Extra Hours worked: 10.5/10.5 :j

OK - have to confess I'm pleased with this - I've hit my target on NSD, shopping, grocery spend, hours worked and meal planning. Cashed out SurveyNetwork, and made £14 on OnePoll by the time you count a 50p sign-up incentive and a couple of other bonuses. Sorted the ISAs, and the electricity, and done my tax return. It's not felt like much as I've gone along either, but actually that's a fair amount of actual "sorting" done.

    :D

Flippin' right Stripes - he's banned for the duration! :D

We're approaching "getting there" and even managed to find a way of "belting the cold-box in" on the back seat so it doesn't come whooshing forward each time we brake. Mind you, we first had to get over childish fits of giggles when we realised I'd typed "Cold box - Strap on in back seat" - I think I got my "in" and "on" the wrong way round. :o (And if anyone doesn't "get" what we were laughing at - google it at your peril, and never say I didn't warn you!)

right - few last bits and it's "beddus collapsicus" for me.

Deeply impressed by the way - just checked fridge and larder - nothing at all in the larder that needs using and hasn't been, and the fridge currently contains (aside jars and bottled of stuff) a couple of lemons (which probably will have to be thrown, but were given to us in the first place) 2 yogurts (will get eaten tomorrow) a small piece of cucumber (will go in sandwiches with egg tomorrow) and two bits of cheese - which will go with us. Permission for smugness?!
