? Sorry if you know better than what I have in my house. You can come round for a cuppa if you want to check. 2 sky boxes means multi room right?? No telephone ever connected to both. Don't sweat it. Same for m&d both second boxes are on miles from telephone points so never been practical. First boxes close to phone but never plugged in as there's no chance I wanted a wire running through the lounge unnecessarily. Used to get asked and I said no they weren't plugged in. They said can I plug them in I said yes ;-).

Aerial feed is split and runs to/from two separate boxes.

It's ok to admit you're wrong I'll be here for you

Bottom line is you don't need to plug sky boxes in and there's no way sky can't make you!!!!!!!!!

The people who Sky have charged two full price subscriptions because they failed to have a landline connection to their Multi-Room set up will doubtless disagree with you.

(Your sentence is a double negative, by the way:p)

The phoneline thing was always a bit hit and miss- It took Sky three years to realize my multiroom wasn't connected so there were no ringbacks from the box. TV engineer hadn't correctly fitted the extension socket.

As for the T&C so liberally quoted above I think the poster missed the point between what the T&C *say* and how strictly the changes will/won't be implemented by tech agents. I'm not labouring the point however -if they want to stay hooked up it won't affect anyone except themselves :)

It won't affect anything at all if the telephone line is already connected and remains so. If someone wants to cancel their landline telephone, however, it would be different.

Yes, the threat of being charged twice was always there but the deterrent was clearly not always enforced. From what I can gather, only those who failed the Callbacks and then also failed to connect up after being warned were actually charged extra.

Even then -after they were hooked up correctly finally and the ring back successful charges could be and were refunded. (and that's not what the T&Cs said either but that's the reality)

Nope, a multi-room subscription, and 2 boxes, means multiroom. You could have a Sky box with no card in it, or a FreesatfromSky card (or expired subscription card) in another room, which wouldn't be Sky's multiroom product.
Can we summarise this into saying that you'll either have to have your Sky boxes connected to your phoneline OR internet? Depending on age of box and availability of network?
