I thought I was doing so well and then had an expensive weekend!
Spent £41 in morrisons (used a £5 voucher), thinking I would only have to get fruit and veg from aldi at the weekend (£17.81). So an expensive week from shopping. Then on Saturday we were stood in the freezing cold, so bought hot drinks and food (£13). Then we got back late and ordered pizza! (£15.25). So £87 in 4 days!!!
On a positive note it was a NSD today. Need to cut back now! Spent over half the budget and 1/3 of the way through the month. Still think it is doable though!!!

Considering to buy 8 sausages but only use 4 so that we can have something sausage-based on the fri or sat with a question mark.
Modesty apart, it looks like a sound plan to me!!! ..well, "on paper" at least..!
Ladyluck - that's rotten luck, I used to get it three or four times a year. Try loads of Vit. C and some zinc tablets, bio-yogurt and honey. Hope you both soon feeling better.
Smokies - I always make a list for essentials but tend to have a bit of an open mind with veg/fruit/meat/fish and buy what's a good price/bargain so long as I know I'm going to use it. I always batch cook as well. Think it comes from years of shopping outside SMs and buying what's in season so cheaper :money:
Had another NSD today so budget not looking too bad so far :T
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday (:shhh: we had sunshine today)

NSD for me. But we did have lunch out at a local farm. It was very nice but £16 for two teas and two sandwiches was a little extravagant. It doesn't get included in the grocery budget as it didn't come into the kitchen. Hoping to go to the seaside tomorrow. Making the most of time off work and the weather.0

Morning all. Called at T yesterday for bread, juice, sugar and oats... And spent £60! 10 of that was whiskars cat food on offer, 3 bags for 10 so comes oout of a different budget. Got mixing bowls, 8 pack kitchen rolls, spray refills (them wall things) and some other bits that have all added up. Must remember NOT to take dh shopping with me!

We've been keeping all our receipts this month and it's amazing to look back and see the number of impulse buys we have purchased that we didn't actually need. I also think we are stockpiling too much when things are on offer.
We are off to Mr.T this morning. I have a set list and a set amount of cash to spend...interesting to see how we get on. I predict my husband will add at least one item I haven't budgeted for into the trolley!GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."
