    You are welcome.

He went at 8.15am, he says it was and always is full of men, like him sent by their OH who just go in buy the offers and leave as quickly as the came in.
I got up just after 9am and the mince is in the freezer and the receipt on the laptop. :rotfl:

Wow! I had to take put mince in ziploc bags and freeze (find it gets no freezer burn that way!)
DH said the mince section was half empty already and the people in front of him in the queue had loads, one Man 8 and a woman with more that 12!!
    Thought it was 6 only....

Hi all, I'm signing in for March! Budget for this month is another £80 - so far I've spent £8.80 at the butchers and fruit market. I will need to swing by the supermarket later as well for some bread and bits.

Well done all you thrifty shoppers! I've had a NSD today. I love cooking and was flicking through a Quorn recipe book (I'm a veggie) and saw a very tasty hearty bean and pasta soup. I already had all the ingredients for it in my freezer/store cupbard so rustled that up this morning. I made it a lot thicker so it's like a stew rather than a soup and it's delish - yum!

£13.50 spent today in Morrys and L!di. The nearest L!dl is a few miles away so don't often go but today we took a neighbour over to see her family so we nipped in after we had dropped her off.
Brought 4 packs of the mince that was on offer, some celery and parsnips. In Morrys we mainly got tomatoes, some fruit, cauliflower and some dental floss as I ate some nuts the other day with skin on and some is stuck in my tooth - no amount of brushing, prodding and poking has shifted it and even after flossing the little devil is still stuck. Will keep at it and hope it works its way out soon as its very irritating and naturally you have to poke about with your tongue which is now sore!!!!!
Have made cottage pie for tomorrow (not with todays mince) there is a large one that will serve 4 and then 3 individual ones. They have onions, celery, broccoli stalks, carrots, leeks and oats to bulk them out and probably around 500g of mince. Mum will take one home with her and no doubt have it in the week. (tend to make cottage pie often for mum as she cant chew to well) Also found 6 mince pies in the freezer so have taken them out and will have them tomorrow with some
    custard.

Given this is the old style board I thought you might be interested in a really old-fashioned remedy for food stuck in your teeth. It is hydrogen peroxide BP diluted 1:5 and used as a mouthwash. You suck and blow it back and forth through your teeth with your mouth shut like a gargle and it "fizzes" the food out. You can buy it from any pharmacy. Just don't swallow...

    I hope this helps

Have you tried snapping them in half! I read on a thread about it and started doing it about three weeks ago. I have noticed no difference in the cleaning and they last twice as long!

Ooh, thanks for this. Not tried snapping them in half.
Will try that tonight-and if it makes the pennies last longer...:money:
