February 2014 Grocery Challenge

I usually go to the SM on a Tuesday morning as it's the only day the market is on in town; but due to the weather DH took me shopping last night when he got home from work. Don't want to do that again too soon as ended up spending £25.18 after multibuy deductions (on something which wasn't on my list that DH wanted!) and a £4 off a £30 spend.
This brings my total to £212.72/£250 this month. Don't think I'm going to come under budget this month as still have almost 2 weeks to go before pay day! I won't really be too unhappy if I don't come in under budget as I had an extra adult and teenager staying for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the month but they left last Thursday so now only have me and DH to feed.
Will try to use as much as possible from the freezer and cupboards over the next couple of weeks.
Today will be NSD #12 and I was hoping for 15 this month so should make that target quite easily!

up dated my sig. my month jan-feb finishes this saturday. only got 93p until then. i have a A+c delivery this weds, i already taken that from the budget so no going over. that's for one of there new meat boxes and a few tins and jars. to know where meat comes from, for me is very important. mr organic bake beans don't contain sugar there £1 each but if anyone knows of a cheaper brand that don't have sugar in please let me know.
I must of mit i have found new ways of saving the month. one i stopped buying crisps for pack lunches i new put air popped popcorn in there lunch instead. someone brought me a duck one years ago never used it as much as i done lately. realised i been spending to much money and time on shopping and just eat what we got. it's gone from 4 to 5 days shop to 1 to 2 day shop for the week mostly just fruit veg and milk etc stuff. freezer is half empty now so anther month or so it be clear.
can i be put down for £150 again for the march thread please
well done everyone, keep it up.0 -

I'm doing the £40 shop at m'sons x2 so that I can get 2x £10 vouchers. I've so far padded the shops out with double velvet toilet rolls 16 for £5 and the tinned tuna 4 for £2.50. These are things that we use so in the long run will save me money. I always stock up when toilet rolls, washing up liquid, shampoo, clothes washing liquid are on special offer. Each time I use one I put the normal price into a purse and this soon gives you a good kitty. I can also get 10% discount at m'sons tooWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0

Wondering if any of you can help me with suggestions/examples with regards to snacks. I have two boys (8 & 4) and a hubby who are all very active and as a result seem to be sniffing around looking for things to eat almost constantly.
What do you all keep in for snacking on in between meals? Last week mine got through a whole batch of brownies, a whole batch of flapjacks and 24 mini mince pies and 24 mini Jaffa tarts as well as about a dozen apples and a dozen bananas plus some yogurts, raisins and bread sticks.
Feels like about half my budget goes on snack food :eek:Debt as at January 2014 £13,546.84Current £11,485.15 - 15.42% paid - moving in the right directionDebt free date [STRIKE]Jan 2016 Dec 2015[/STRIKE] Nov 2015MMH 35 - SFD 8/15 FB 266.46/240 T-O 0/0 donation 3/£3 LTW 8/10 exercise 12/12 neighbour favour?
