I have £209.80/£300 left for February.

Writing that seems like I've spent a hideous amount already, but I bought a lot of irregular and store cupboard ingredients today so the rest of the month should hopefully be a lot cheaper (well it has to be :p)

Making frittata tomorrow for lunches next week and have breakfast muffins baking as I type - going to freeze some and see how they come out. Helped that aldi had blueberries in their super 6 this week!

Sorry craigywv, I bake bread but have never made burger baps, so can't help you there.

Just off to update my sig with my first spend of the month of £79.04 out of £270. At least 12 days of meals in the house by my reckoning, so will resist all but little shops for milk and veg for as long as possible.

  • Another 6.50 for me today on toilet rolls and sausages in Farmfodds. nearly half budget spent already.

Think I should manage to meet my target though as cupboards and freezer are well stocked.

Sorry can't help with burger gaps. I do sometimes make bread but it is usually quite dense too.

Small spends for the first of the month - £19.59 in sainsbug, £3.05 in local butcher. SM stuff mainly bread, milk, yoghurts, fruit, etc., for packed lunches on Monday and breakfasts/snacks over the weekend.

Based on memory (cos I've not done a stocktake yet!), we have sausages in the fridge and some more frozen, pack of chicken legs and thighs, large pack of mince, frozen 3bird roast, few fish fingers, and other stuff I've forgotten, so I bet I can feed us for at least 2 weeks, more if I count the pantry goods. If I use my brain, I should only need to buy the usual stuff that we need regularly - bread, f & v, milk, yoghurts, etc.

    A xo

Back from long-time lurking. Can you put me down for £150 for the month. I need to get back on track and I have a fairly good store already.

Finally made it to February!! :) what a long old month January was!

My meat order didn't arrive so it will have to take off this months budget, but I've loads in cupboards and freezer so should be fine.

I've already spent £51.03 of this months budget but was loads under in January with christmas stocks to use up. I've dropped it by £50 this month and should easily be able to manage. I think I must have overestimated.

As soon as the meat arrives I shall do my meal plans. Bought a large piece of beef and a loin of pork from the butchers today...all the family are here for Sunday tea tomorrow so there will be 22 of us. There should be some left for in the week I hope. Flip...I forgot to get sausages for the GC but it'll not matter this time. I've got a big trifle made, some bread and butter pudding to pop in the oven and a frozen chocolate gateau...so that should keep them puddinged up lol

The rain and wind is bad here tonight and I'm on the east coast, so goodness knows what it must be like on the west!

Keep warm and safe everyone :)

Popped to T's today. Got my giftcard sorted, £40 on it that has to last until the 16th, and spent exactly £10 of that today. Stocked up the cupboard with jam and oil, got some snacks (worked out that yesterday's meals only added up to 1000kcal so need to eat more or I'll be falling over!), and picked up odds and ends for this weeks meals. Will need to go again early in the week for milk and bread but hopefully nothing else.

Would you not be better off getting a clubcard +? Then you load it in cash and get twice the amount of clubcard points to a giftcard?

It also included a pack of nappies for our arrival due in May.

Congratulations :j my DD is expecting baby girl no 2 on the 21st May, its very exciting. I am also trying to help her by putting together a baby hamper of bits I pick up. I'm also doing a new mum hamper with some luxury bits and bobs.

Love catching up with your posts, I'm not in properly until April, when I've moved out of our temporary accommodation, can't come soon enough

    Have a great weekend
