NSD today so can declare £143.44 for this month leaving me £46.56 left in the budget. Very pleased about this.
Still have lots of items in and freezers full.

Well done to everyone who has taken part, off to March thread now.
Good luck to those who still have to declare.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Over to March now - came in just under budget this month - kids are feeling the pinch though (DS went and bought his own treats and is keeping them in his room!!) they are not deprived but there are only plain biscuits in at the moment and until they have gone I am not replacing!!!

Final grocery shop of the month done - came in at just under £10.

Budget for the month was £220.55, and I've spent £188.43. It's more than the two thirds of budget I'd have liked to come in at (£147), but I'm more than happy as it included 24 tins of tuna, 4.2kg of stewing steak, and 6.5kg of minced beef.

My year to-date budget was £464.73 (with a two-thirds target of £309.81), and I've spent £321.74. Still happy given the meat I've bought (Jan was a Costc0 tray of pork steaks, another of chicken breasts, a reduced gammon joint and a large bag of grated cheese - a fair quantity of each of all of those still being in the freezer), and I've quite a bit 'in the bank' to help out when I'm feeding extra mouths on holiday later in the year :)

Breakdown for the last couple of months comes in as follows

Hi, I'd like to declare for February as £330.49 so just shy of £20 under my budget of £350.

Please can you put me down for March as £350 again.

    Many thanks.

Had to buy some mushrooms this morning, but that's February done and dusted. So declaring for the month at a total spend of £137.63/£200.00.

I can hardly believe it an underspend of £62.37.

Off over to March with a spring in my step.

Been to HB today and spent £27.89 which brings me to £346.41 which leaves me with a £3.59 underspend!! I'm really pleased with this and because I have so much stuff in I'm dropping to £300 for March.

If I can't manage then I will up my budget for April. It still will be loads less than I have been spending over the past year or two.

Marching on to March now! :):)
