NSD from the grocery budget but I had to borrow £10 from my grocery purse to pay for some bedding I got from the CS for my GS. Should have come from my personal spends purse but nothing left in there hence the borrow. I won't add this to my total as I might have to pay it back from next months personal spends. I think I know what I am doing.:(
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
  • Trip to the vet today so £50 lighter with the possibility of going back to the tune of £500, hoping that the antibiotics work for my little moggy poor thing.

Definitely means that I must stick to my GC budget, and hope to come in under budget by a fair bit.

Better get out to the shed and do a reccy in the freezer!

Been to Lidells and spent £32.17....and got masses of stuff :)

Mainly milk and bread/loaves for the freezer, but some of the DGC coming tomorrow so filled up the fruit bowl again, cat food for the yard cats and other odds and sods.

    Stay safe x

P.S. I made some chicken stock from the chicken carcasses left on Sunday and made chicken broth. We'll have that tomorrow and the rest is in the freezer. I added some veg stock from the freezer and it tastes lush.

P.P.S. Don't know what to do...use up everything I have in the cupboards or keep storing when I see good prices...I suppose I have to find a happy medium!

  • Few spends to report, 53 tesc0 online, 19 aldi, and 11 at borough market for some speciality meat as a valentine treat. We are away this weekend and I have just done a 30 online shop for top ups next week. So it looks like we are on course to stay under 200 for February. There's still time to mess up so I won't call it yet!

Another £8 tonight in B&M. On poppadoms, cous cous. A tin of kidneys in gravy (present for my mother) chip shop curry sauce, maltesers, stain remover and salt. So that's £130/£180. I might just do this.
  • NSD yesterday; we have a midwife appointment today so I won't be going anywhere over lunch and then we are off to a training session. It's almost two hours to drive there then a 3.5 hour session then a 1.5-2hour drive home. With the session running 7-10.30pm it makes it quite a late one for us! With that in mind, and to stop the late night stop at McDs, I have prepped a pasta salad and cut some fruit up (not together obviously) as well as making sure we each have a big bottle of squash to take. Must avoid the venders in the sports hall!

  • Need to shop again!
DS has a huge appetite recently so we need more grapes/ham etc.
Hoping coop have some reduced grapes again as they lasted a few days and were really tasty and seed free :)
We have more than enough in for dinners though so should only be snack/lunch top ups. Hopefully will be within budget this month!

    CC PAID OFF
    GC Sept £141.17/200
  • Delivered tractor parts for DS yesterday. Resisted shopping outlet and just bought potatoes, eggs, kale & cabbage at farm shop. £1.95 in total. bubble & squeak for dinner tonight I think.
    GC Feb £95.45/£100
  • weekly grocery shop today came in at $47.50, so it is looking like we will be well under budget this month.

Going camping on the weekend so will get some provisions on the way, but will have a couple of NSD to compensate.

DH has decided not to go fishing tomorrow, went out yesterday and they brought back 25 kilos of tuna. His crew man has an extended family, so a lot of people are very happy (it's currently selling in the sm for $48.50 per kilo.) We only took 2 fillets from the catch and smoked them, were delicious.

It was the hottest day of the year here, so it was a bbq dinner, lamb chops chips etc, lo blackberry and apple pie for pud.
    Cheers
