    Thank you !
Now, I used to have a Vanquis card which was alright for a while but when I got a little behind in my payments they changed its name to Vampire card. This is not a company that you want to default on, because the interest is obscene and they will only just stop short of sending Skullcrusher Smith round to collect your debt in person. So as another poster wrote, treat this like a second chance and use it responsibly.

The irony of this post is laughable at best.

i 2nd that, they are vile if you miss a payment and it snowballs so quick you cant catch be very careful with the card minimum payments are easy to keep up with but you will never pay off the card with the high intrest they charge, look at your statements very carefully and see how much you actually pay off with minimum payments ..very scary

I stated a few times that I am not paying the minimum payments, I am paying the balance in full every month. :)

Coming out of a DMP, I got a Luma card.

I'm using this to rebuild the credit file.

Obviously while I still had default on file, that was the big negating factor regardless of the card, but I now feel that having a card on file is helping a little, showing that for the last 8 months or so I haven't gotten into trouble with debt.
  • Hi there, i’m just basically after some advice please.
I have been in full time employment for 16 years. Have a few defaulted bank/credit card accounts from 2008-2009 which i’m led to believe will go off my record after six years. Is this correct even if I don’t pay them?

    Many Thanks

This is correct although the debts will still have to be paid.
