well that is what they want - but i think it is too late to join for this time as you need so many "stamp" or whatever they are to give you full membership - maybe someone who is a member can explain more.....

No we can't try cracking the code until there is only one code left, otherwise there are about 30 million combinations.

I don't think there's any point in joining sun+ now, I did today but it looks like there was no point as it says you need a special sun+ code to book and in the FAQ's it says if you haven't received your priority code by now then it directs you to the standard booking site.

plus the high chance of it being a letter / number combination means code cracking is unlikely - now we know why priority bookers can book as many holidays as they like :mad:

oh well - it was fun whilst it lasted :T I suppose it we bound to happen sooner or later - the whole point of the promotion of these holidays through the Sun was originally to get people to buy the paper - with the internet people found other ways to get codes and now the internet technology has caught up and they have found a way to give those who spend money on The Sun + the best of their deals....

and the Daily Mail have done the same this time as well

http://www.breakfreeholidays.co.uk/ is still available which gives good deals for UK holidays but as the latest offers have been open since early jan most school hols dates have gone....


and you never know the kind sun worker who helped us out last year may well be around....:A here's hoping we get in not too far behind the Sun + members

So realistically then, non sun plus members will not be able to book till Sunday, unless the final code is cracked, which seems unlikely, as it's bound to be a word/ letter combination like last time.

I imagne by then all the peak dates and best parks ( particularly the European ones) will be gone!

I am seriously lowering my expecations for this promo. Pontins wil be all that's left:rotfl:

We are working on a theory that the letter/number codes are based on UK number plates as the previous codes have been valid for the first 4 digits of number plates, (CY07 an KP59) I think. There are only around 11,000 of them which is is only about twice as many as the usual number of 4 letter words. I have put these number plate codes into the spreadsheet checker which you can download. We need to organise the checking and allocate people groups of words to check once we know the 9th word.
Also, a couple of years ago they gave out an extra bonus word to some people (ROCK remember Rockgate) anyway the booking site opened a day early for because some people had the 2 bonus codes, once we found the last but one word early on the cracking day we couldn't crack the site until late afternoon because even though we had all but one word they still didn't load that word onto the site until the end of the day, and I expect that will be the case again tomorrow.

Don't forget, a few times last year I couldn't find what I wanted when we cracked the codes so I left it, each time I went back and checked 6-7 days later and got what I wanted but it hadn't been available before !!
And I got Luxembourg 1 week in the 1st week of the summer holidays, check it online that place is expensive

Actually, now you mention it, this happened to me a few years ago. My choice wasn't available on the night the code was cracked, so i left it and went back a couple of days later to find it was available, so i guess all is not lost;)

Hi,
Do you know the park name or number? - I must behaving a blind moment cause I can't seem to find it in the book.
We are looking to book in Europe again but must be within driving distance of a port or tunnel (young family). We have been to Chateau des Ormes for 3 years. Love it but just fancy a change.
