well I had a go, messed it up and ended up with a date in April that we cant go.
Is it worth me ringing the site and seeing if they will let me change the date or am I just stuck with a hol I cant go on.
I am sooo stupid and sooo disappointed I have been in tears must of the afternoon.
Any suggestions besides try harder next time
Contact the Sun, if that doesn't work try the holiday company who owns the park in question.0 -

The Sun won't help as their T&C state:
9. ABSOLUTELY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday booking has been made. Further, no refunds whatsoever can be made in the event of cancellation by you after the holiday confirmation has been issued to you in accordance with your application, unless the reason for cancellation is the fault of the park or operator.

However, there is no harm in speaking to the park direct, once you have got your booking confirmation and invoice from them. They won't have your booking info for about 3 weeks though.
They are under no obligation to change it for you, and I have had an instance in the past where the park has said that they will not change my booking made through the Sun. However, you won't know unless you ask.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Everyone said the spreadsheet didn't work for them, and people manually checking were doing the words, so I started at line 1 because I'd had to restart using a different spreadsheet, and forgot to change the 'start at' line. I was just about to start on P after I realised that another poster was checking the same plates I was, when the code was found.
Sorry about the mix-up, but we had a teenager drama and my mind was elsewhere.
I'm not sure what went on with the Spreadsheet, I was getting a run-time error '70' on the spreadsheet I linked and also the same on the one you linked, however when I tried the one I linked on my work PC today, it was partially working but coming up with "it might be AA02" etc. for every word. What we need is an excel/visual basic expert to have a look at it now while the website is open, as that is the only time that you can really test it.
Obviously that have made subtle changes to the website and the conditions the spreadsheet tests for are no longer correct, its probably just a case of a few tweeks to the spreadheet coding, but unfortunately it's beyond me. Didn't Pearly fix it before?Joovce, Joovce you want me to spell, it's a J, V, C.0 -
Thanks for advice, at least I can try contacting the park. feel a bit better now. x0

Hi
I booked a break at Beverly Bay on Saturday night, I have received an e-mail of holiday payment and it said that a confirmation e-mail confirming my booking details would be sent seperately. I have not yet received this, is this normal?0 -

I will, but I have to wait until I get the ferry confirmation and that probably won't come through for about a Month as the Sun seem to have a block of bookings to fill and they don't pass over the passenger details until the offer is complete. Last year my ferry confirmation didn't come through until the 6th of Feb.
Brittany ferries are really good though. Last year we made a complete balls up and got our dates mixed up for the holiday, we thought it was a day later so we arrived in Portsmouth the evening of the date that we should have been on the boat in the morning, ready to stay overnight in a Travelodge. First we went to the Travelodge and they said "no you booked last night", so then I checked the travel docs and we realised that we had missed the ferry. The kids were crying in the back of the car, it was awful so we went down to the ferry port and I went to the desk and told them what had happened and they put us on the morning boat and charged me £10. Then because we had missed a day we extended the Caravan at the park for a day and phoned Brittany Ferries and changed the ferry to a day later which cost £15.Joovce, Joovce you want me to spell, it's a J, V, C.0 -

Some people have reported receiving the confirmation a day or so later. Did you make a note of your booking reference after your payment was processed?
If so, the page that had the booking reference after taking payment said:
You will receive your holiday confirmation by post or email direct from the holiday park operator. Please allow 21 days for receipt. If you have not received anything after 21 days, please contact us via: https://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/contactus/.
You can contact them if you receive nothing after the 21 days.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

I would try the holiday company's central booking office before the the actual park you have incorrectly booked at. You get two chances that way.0 -
