Sorry, just popping back on to say welcome to the new posters - very rude of me not to do that before:(

Good morning everyone
Haven't been up long but the weather looks decent so want to get out and about. Have an Amazon sale to post so will call in at a post office on the way.
It's lovely to see we have lots of new people joining us. Not much going on here but will pop back later and catch up on everyone's news.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all,
And neither of them can get me off the level I'm stuck on in Candy-thingy!
Hugs all round x
I am stuck on stage 43 and have been for weeks, I got quite excited the other night I got down to 5%, no such luck.......used up all the moves......
No rain this morning, so far!! We do appear to have had quite a frost though.
Have to take OH to the hospital today for his appointment with the consultant......no doubt we will come away no better off.0 -
Morning
Late to bed last night (reading) and then disturbed night's sleep due to phone battery bleeping at 3.26! My last day home before going back to work tomorrow.
I'm another one taking the (nearly-dead) tree down today. I usually wait until twelfth night but if I don't take it down then I can just see some of the baubles sliding off the branches and hitting the floor. It is looking very sorry for itself.
Then, as it is not raining for the first time in weeks, I might take a trip to the beach for a walk. Roast chicken tonight followed by fresh fruit salad.

Morning all,
Welcome to all the newbies , it's lovely to see new people on the daily :hello:
I'm up and out early this morning, hubby has a couple of jobs to do and then will take me to the hospital to see my consultant about my other leg. I'm really hoping I don't need that knee replacing just yet but we shall see. I've spoke to the hospital and I have to be there for 8.30 on Monday for my left knee replacement, really hope it's not cancelled this time, just want it done and dusted then I can get in with other things.
We could do with a big food shop but it may have to wait until next week when the coffers are looking a bit healthier. I'm sure we can manage with store cupboard and freezer, it's mainly fresh stuff that needs replacing.
I'm trying to gather a few books to keep me occupied whilst I'm in hospital, hopefully just three days. I need to get my case packed shortly as well.
Completely run out off ideas for meals and I'm bored with what I'm cooking. I need to do some meal planning. Probably something with mince tonight.
It's a lovely day here but boy did it rain hard last night, thank goodness we are high up and don't have to worry about flooding.
Hugs for the poorlies or just anyone who would like one:)
Have a great day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I have loads of holly, I thought I'd try to grow some from seed. I've only looked at two sites so far, they both say to freeze then defrost the berries a few times to make sure they crack. Cracked berries?! I thought it would be a case of either plant the berry, or dry out then plant the berry. I have a feeling I'll end up in a garden centre buying plants
Is this the non natural way of bletting the berries.....you know how Sloes are better when they have been bletted (ie been out in the frosts and thawed)......maybe it's something to do with that?! You will cry to know we cut down a holly tree in the garden of our first house. Ruddy thing never produced any berries anyway
Anyway good morning everyone
Lovely to see so many new faces over the festive season, do keep posting
The sun is out clear blue sky so am taking kids to Barbury Castle, not been there before but it's a country park. Done us a picnic with flask of hot chocolate (seems mean to make the kids drink coffee :rotfl:) all made using stuff in the cupboard :money:
No idea what's for tea, will decide when we get back.
All decorations down and put in loft. Hubby is back at work, once kids are back next Tuesday then normality will reign :T
Hugs and spoons all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all
Chilly here, but not raining yet.
DGS is here, he stayed the night, he's had weetabix for breakfast & fed the fish. Hubby is in the shed with his 3rd cuppa, I'll do his breakfast when he comes back in.
DGS & I are then going shopping for bread & milk & I'll buy him a magazine & a cake from the bakers as a treat, he has a rotten cold, so when we come back he can veg out under a quilt & read his magazine.
Have a good day everyone.

I thought it was something to do with the natural process of birds eating the berries then pooing them out again. Hmmm can you tell I am a city person :rotfl:
Really going out now, had forgotten about effect of DH's BP drugs and how he needs to be near a loo for a whileLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all,
Bright and sunny which makes a nice change. Washing on the line. DH has gone to do some jobs whilst it is dry. He has had to go to earn some money although we have had some major water ingress by the back door so that needs sorting too.
I've just taken the cards down and chopped them up for recycling. At least it keeps me in shopping lists for a year!
I've told DS2 he has to sort his room today and do his homework. I want his bed changed as the smell is getting really eugh! I wonder how old he will be before he gets his act together?! I'm glad the older two weren't like it otherwise I think I'd be tearing my hair out by now.
Got to pop to Mr T later for some bits, its just the basics really like milk and cheese. Like a lot of you we are hoping to cut down this year on the food spending.
Oh well, have a good and hopefully rain free day0
