Converting bathroom into 4th bedroom.... Madness?

Why are all your children sleeping in one bedroom when you have three bedrooms?
With one bathroom how can five people get showered/bathed in the morning without getting up at stupid o'clock.0 -
We have 5 to one bathroom. At one point it was 6. Has been 3 kids & 2 adults before becoming 5 adults & then 6 adults.
Not everyone showers/bathes in a morning. Very rare do any of us ever do that. We have it at staggered times in the evening/night.
Only becomes an issue when someone is taking the mickey with their hair (sister!!) or you all need a #1 or #2 at the same time.
Though I do agree that the OP seems to be avoiding addressing the 3rd bedroom point.0 -
You'll have to move when the eldest two get to 11 if different genders0

I imagine it would attract many more than it might repel... remember, an upstairs conversion of any kind can be reversed. Flexibility in design is key to an easy sale.... and OP is keen to stay a while at least!0 -

You don't really need a plumber to take a bathroom out? One might turn up for a bit to cap things off, but it's more of a general building job.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Will the modern day Britain police come & bang them up?
I was an only child until i was 7 when my sister came along & then my brother came along when i turned 9. There were 5 of us in a 2 bed house, so us 3 shared the same room.
It stayed that way until i was about 22 i think. Then my brother & sister shared the room.
We didn't get changed in front of each other. We'd do it in the room if we were alone, or in the bathroom after a shower.
Aside from the fact a bigger house would've been nice, none of us had a problem with it. It wasn't right but nor was it 'wrong'. Certainly not because the next man says it's 'wrong'. None of us have caught anything because of it. We've not sprouted extra arms/heads/legs.0 -
Although the longer this goes on without an answer, the more i am curious as to why OP continuously decides not to answer the point about 3 bedrooms not being enough for 5 people.
As has been said:
master bedroom - parents
t'other bedroom - 2 youngest
box room - eldest.
Am intrigued as to why all this extra work is required.0 -
Currently officially 2 girls in one room and son in box room... My eldest is a light sleeper I would like them all to have their own space.... Hence the need to convert a room ... I thought i was perfectly clear JustAnotherSaver? No more toys til Xmas 2022 , mfw 2023 challenge , Trying to not waste food , time or money and appreciate the moment more!0
