    Hi Everybody

Ive been away for a couple of weeks but have been keeping track and have the last three weeks of October to update. Its been a really expensive month but here goes:

    Week beginning 6 Oct
Overpayment to credit card (another regular payment has now been paid off so i have 'snowballed that payment into my direct debit and added it to my minimum and fixed my direct to a higheramount - hope that makes sense!) £33.00

    Week beginning 13th October
Bagged up loose change from pots around house £15.00

    Week beginning 20th october

Checked minimum payments on other cards (all on 0% way longer than the one i m making all the overpayment to which ends in Feb 2015) Total reduction rounded up to £6.00

(Total so far this month - £54.00)

Thank you Lucky for starting this thread and for all of you out there for the inspiration i cant believe how the small amounts have built to make such a difference.

It really does make such a difference!

£1 extra per week = £52 off the debt over the year
    £5 extra per week = £260
    £10 extra per week = £520
    £15 extra per week = £780
    £20 extra per week = £1040
    £50 extra per week = £2600
    £100 extra per week = £5200

All of these amounts can then be even doubled or tripled if you are paying interest on your debts, and factor in interest saved by paying off the extra!

£15 for me this week Xx

..and the biggest thing for me is that even the days when it really all gets me down , i know that the small amounts are do- able.

Am really kicking myself..i miscalculated the end date for a 0% card and been charged £16 interest. I have swiftly found a 28 month interest free offer with transfer balance low fee and moved it across but still annoyed with myself

Only £5.00 for me this week

  • I'm gonna be quite poor for the rest of this month having treated myself to an expensive weekend of socializing right after payday.
Still managed a little bank skim today though so this weeks payment is:

    £3.57

Hope everyone else is doing well :)
