the bed is changed weekly. Maybe that is not enough.
Also, just because he says he cannot smell it doesn't mean he's not embarrassed by it. I'd increased the number of times you ask him to strip his bed.
Where do his towels reside? Bathroom or bedroom? However is he changing them? And dressing gown/whatever he sleeps in?0 -
You've said he skates. Does he wear any pads? If he does it could be these that smell0

The smell is from what teenage boys do. It's on their hands and they touch things so small deposits are around the room , on handles , doors walls , anywhere they touch. I have tried leaving hankies, wet wipes about but it makes no difference. As they are known for not washing their hands.
It will improve when they get a girlfriend . Mine 21 now and it's a lot better.
I put it down to the natural body odour and the masta , you can't really get rid of it without a deep clean everyday, opening the window for a couple of hours a day helpsChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Get him neutered.
It worked for my cat.0 -
Our Dgs used to do ice hockey and after a match the smell of his kit, the pads etc was absolutely rank . That was just with sweat from a 9 year old who hadn't hit puberty . Maybe there is something that you can't see festering away . If you believe the tv ads a good spraying of febreeze will cure all smells . There's quite a rare condition where a person can smell of fish but you'd probably know if that was the smell .0

When I was a teenager My Mum used to blame the following for Teen Room smell:
*Smelly Socks, Shoes
*Clothes taken off and stuffed into orifices (up sides of cupboard etc)
*moudy food/drink under bed - cups, plates etc
* Moudy stuff left in bags - pe kit, swimming kit, food in bottom of school bag etc
Now, I am female so this wouldn't have applied to ME, but have you thought that it might be, erm, "sex smell"..... by which i dont mean ACTUAL sex but the male erm, smell after erm, male pleasure
Not just on sheets and clothes but it still leaves an "aroma" in there - especially if its happening often :rotfl: Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

Why wouldn't it apply? Women produce a sex smell too.0 -
My son's room has a strange smell. It's not bad as such, just different. I'm usually quite good at identifying smells but can't seem to figure this one out. It's not pee. It's not sweaty clothes. It's not damp. I can't really describe it either. I have 2 other sons so i'm used to 'boy smells' but don't know what this is. He has quite bad eczema so I don't use smelly stuff to wash his clothes and bedding. His room is vacuumed every day.
If you find out what the smell is i'd be curious to know lol
It sounds like exactly the same problem we have with our son.
We change the bedding, the window is open. It is not BO. I use fabric conditioner. Its really strange ....0
