Parking fine received but emigrating

Hello all
Just wondering what your thoughts are on not paying a BPA private parking fine due to the fact I'm emigrating in 8 weeks?
I can't see how they would be able to get me to court if they could be bothered.
But like the criminal courts can they find me guilty in absence and slap a court order on me damaging my credit file?

The BPA are not a parking company, they are just a trade association. And it's not a "fine", it's an invoice. What is the name of the actual parking company that issued this? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You have time to make a soft appeal and get a popla code and file a popla appeal and have it knocked out, if you stick very strictly to the popla GPEOL template it should knock it out and you wont have a CCJ to return to.Be happy...;)0

This is not a criminal matter so no criminal courts will be involved!
So a few questions
1) is this England or Wales ?
2) are you the registered keeper?
3) who is the parking company? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Dear UKPC,
As the registered keeper of (reg) I'm in receipt of your parking invoice xxxxxx dated xxxxxx. I wish to invoke your appeals process as all liability to you company is denied on the following:
1) this charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss
2) your signage does not comply with the BPA Code of Practice
3) you do not have the authority or permission to issue invoices at this location
These points and others will be raised with Popla should you not accept this appeal, and you will be expected to provide a full breakdown of of your alleged loss, and your full unredacted contract with the landowner.
If you do reject the challenge and insist upon taking the matter further I must inform you that I may claim my expenses from you. The expenses I may claim are not exhaustive but may include the cost of stamps, envelopes, travel expenses, legal fees, etc. By continuing to pursue me you agree to pay these costs when I prevail.
Please issue your cancellation within 35 days of this letter

put a soft appeal in to excel, then if that is denied use a popla code to appeal to popla
its all explained in the NEWBIES sticky thread, with templates and links etc0 -

Yes it will, but do feel free to chop and change the odd word. If everything is template-based it will start to look bad for us the targets just as it has started to do for the antagonist parking companies.0 -

But think about it, all their letters are templates so them complaining is hysterical to be honest. If people really want to antagonise them you could add at the bottom of the letter
"This template reply to your template letter comes from the users @ money saving expert parking forum. "When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Yeah that's a fair point. I meant that when authorities themselves (and POPLA who we known isn't) get wind of templates, it casts doubt upon the defendant's credibility. "Ah, this is another copy+paste, they are using this as a loophole to break rules". Then before you know it, laws will change again and next time they will legalise penalties, the word will again appear on the invoices/windscreen stickers, and all this talk of NGPEOL will go out the window as will this forum!0
