The question is how does Swagbucks make money out of you watching a pole dancing video?

Do they make more money if you watch it to the end, or actually is SBTV really only about the adverts which only last 20 seconds or so?

I was wondering about this too. As well as the adverts, I wondered if people pay for views on their video and this somehow feeds through to YouTube or other video sites?

Always try to manually move on as soon as the meter goes up, which is every 30 seconds, so 10 videos should take 5 minutes.

I wouldn't recommend you doing this all the time either I got warned from the SB compliance team recently I can only assume it was because I was constantly doing exactly this and they consider it abuse of watching videos.[/QUOTE]

I asked Swagbucks and the response was that it is better to move the videos on manually when the meter moves as the meter acts as bot-prevention.

I must say that that makes sense because you can't programme a bot to move the video on automatically when the meter moves because the bot won't know if any ads have played.
Whereas it would be very easy to programme a bot to move on automatically at the end of playtime as the ads won't interfere with that.

ETA...Just to let you know my method. I always move the video on when the meter moves as that is what Swagbucks had advised me to do. I haven't had any issues with it.

If there is a video on X site like Youtube, you earn by each view - so SB might be acting as a middleman, direct you to the website and gets a comission.

apologies for the language but 3 70sb surveys glitched at the final question today and have raised 3 tickets to which SB have given me 25sb, whoop de doo, yeah 25 makes up for losing 210 plus the 42 daily bonus I'll likely not get today!

The codes appear after only about 20 seconds. Capthas check to make sure you are human and not using cheat software to automatically move the videos on.

They make money from the adverts.

Well here is what the compliance team sent me:

Your account has been flagged by our Compliance systems for Watch/Video viewing irregularities.

To keep your account in good standing, please refrain from using any unauthorized viewing methods. These methods include, but are not limited to, unauthorized third party software, using browser add-ons not associated with Swagbucks.com, or any viewing methods meant to exploit our video services.

I wasn't using any unauthorised software nor any add-ons nor bots I was just constantly physically moving on each video as soon as the counter lit up which I can only assume is meant in their opinion 'any viewing methods meant to exploit their video services'.

I have since stopped doing this constantly and mix up my viewing methods with no problems.

Some other offers are to get hits on Youtube.

But nobody is paying for you to watch news videos on SBTV.

The games are the same, they don't care if you get the high score, it's all about the adverts.

Maybe we should have this same old argument put on the first page so we can avoid repeating it every time it comes up. Unless SB's clearly state in the rules what is or isn't allowed then none of it is fact just people's experiences.

My only input on this is, if you are supposed to watch every video to the end why is the meter set so soon into each video, it is just as easy for the technical team to extend the length of time before the meter moves up. The meter encourages you to move on.

Also why on your tenth video does it congratulate you and award you the bucks before anywhere near the end of the video, if again, you are supposed to watch it all.

Everybody makes up their own minds on what they feel is the best thing to do. There are no right or wrong answers.
