Well here is what the compliance team sent me:

Your account has been flagged by our Compliance systems for Watch/Video viewing irregularities.

To keep your account in good standing, please refrain from using any unauthorized viewing methods. These methods include, but are not limited to, unauthorized third party software, using browser add-ons not associated with Swagbucks.com, or any viewing methods meant to exploit our video services.

I wasn't using any unauthorised software nor any add-ons nor bots I was just constantly physically moving on each video as soon as the counter lit up which I can only assume is meant in their opinion 'any viewing methods meant to exploit their video services'.

I have since stopped doing this constantly and mix up my viewing methods with no problems.

By 'viewing methods meant to exploit our video services' they are talking about a toolbar or browser or such that automatically plays SBTV.

You told us previously you were racking up 150 SB per day on SBTV!!! That's 50 credits or 500 videos! That's a crazy amount - even though it's allowed in rules.

They are saying they suspect you are cheating because you were watching so many videos. They reckon because you racked up 500 videos in one day you may be using cheating software.

It's up to you. But I've had thousands of credits of SBTV over the last 2 years. I don't watch them to the end and I've had no problems with compliance.

Maybe we should have this same old argument put on the first page so we can avoid repeating it every time it comes up. Unless SB's clearly state in the rules what is or isn't allowed then none of it is fact just people's experiences.

My only input on this is, if you are supposed to watch every video to the end why is the meter set so soon into each video, it is just as easy for the technical team to extend the length of time before the meter moves up. The meter encourages you to move on.

Also why on your tenth video does it congratulate you and award you the bucks before anywhere near the end of the video, if again, you are supposed to watch it all.

Everybody makes up their own minds on what they feel is the best thing to do. There are no right or wrong answers.

Agree with what you are saying completely so I raised the issue after receiving their email. Their response was that my account would continue to be monitored. You might be right but if SB can interpret things which ever way they like (they cover themselves with the phrase 'not limited to') I don't care to be banned and so therefore not taking any chances and have changed my viewing habits. Maybe worth Swagbucks UK giving us their definition of all viewing methods meant to exploit our viewing services.

P.S. Further to the post concerning the amount of SBTV I was watching that had nothing to do with this I asked that particular question and if there was no limit you could watch SBTV 24 hours a day! The same as you are limited to the amount of SBs you can watch on a mobile device.

Exactly. It's geared up that way specifically to encourage you to move on.

interesting debates brought up on SBTV !

If you are watching on a normal laptop there is no advertising so not sure why they would award the watch after 30 seconds or so.

I know people that are getting the full 150 SB/day using a mouse moving macro that is constantly changing the time between each click on each video - and to date its not been detected. I also know one guy who sits and clicks on it manually all day and also gets the full amount. For both you have to manually intervene every now and then to change the selection of videos you are watching as they run out. When it comes to the apps you can just have one video on repeat for a couple of hours and job done!

So all in all I think just about everyone is 'abusing' the scheme in one way or another- just depends when swagbucks police step in and what you are comfortable with.

Either way, best to cash in your rewards more frequently as they seem to move the bar constantly!

As for saying everyone is abusing the scheme that is not the case at all.

I've not seen advertising on SBTV (via laptop) for weeks - I agree there used to be but it seems to have gone now - at least for me.

When I say abusing the scheme - how many people are actually attentively watching the videos rather than just waiting for the next one until they get their reward? How many have the sound on? How many times have you watched the SAME video? All I meant by my comment is that what swagbucks want us to do with these videos and what we do are a grey area and if I was paying for MY video to be seen by the masses - I'd be a bit worried how the majority of people are using it.

    lol!

no I genuinely have not seen any adverts. The last one I can remember from a few weeks back was the bidet advert that was on very often - it made washing your genitalia a real treat judging by the sexy model they used to advertise it!
