Nah! I couldn't be bothered really. But thanks for the comments.

THIS sums up all of the reasons I love you. I couldn't believe the post it was in response to; but your reply soothed my soul. Cannot believe it has been so long since I checked back in here.

I don't think you know this, but I decided in 2009 (after a horrifying "culture issue" with my Jordanian boss, 4 months off sick depressed and living in an online game 11am to 6am every day, watching my 4 year long relationship crumble under the strain of the issues caused by all of the above, and having my family react to the relationship crumbling by taking sides with my ex for the 6 months we stayed living together after the break up) to quit the job I had been working at for a few months which was fine but not exactly setting my world alight, and move 250 miles away the following day. I took 4 boxes of stuff. 1 & a half of these being clothes. I left a house, a dog (the ONLY thing I miss), all of my furniture... and just went. I had somewhere to go, in as much as someone I met in the online game allowed me to stay with him and his parents for a while. I moved without a backward, or forward glance, and managed to land myself a job within a few sq-weeks. I say sqweeks because I gave myself 6 weeks to survive and find a job or move back home with my tail between my legs. A close shave and much squeaking indeed. It took 3 weeks to get the job after 2 interviews there, and another month and a half before I actually started it, which was amazing. Like travelling, I was in a place I didn't know, by the sea, with a limited amount of money and no real bills, and a set time at which I would return to the real world and start working. I personally felt a lot safer with that safety net there when I was gallivanting and spending money, but originally I quit my job with 4 weeks notice and spent that 4 weeks figuring out what to pack rather than anything else. Guess I did both sides in a short space of time..Who is to say what is right and what is wrong. Many people would have (and did) tell me I was utterly bonkers. But everything I have and am now is as a direct result of that choice. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

That said, 7 pages in and I have decided I am partial rabblement. How depressing. Haha.

Last little point... Before I click the send button on every post, I quickly hit Ctrl + A and Ctrl + C. I've learned the hard way how many posts go awol because I spent so much time drafting it the website went to sleep!

Peace, love and penguins as always Kat! x

Right so we shall try again now that my anger at my own mistake has dissipated somewhat!

Hello lovely Lilt and NannyG - great to have you both back with us momentarily. I wasn't sure what else to write in response to that comment Lilt so I am glad you appreciate what I did write. :T

I have asked my boss today about resignation and was told all I need to submit was notice at one month prior to wanting to leave and that was that. I was expecting something a little more difficult due to having had a career break already approved.

Lilt you clearly followed your heart and came out ok. It was a tough start for you no doubt but you made it. But what a melange of difficulty you had to put up with. What on earth did that ex-boyfriend say when you upped and disappeared? And may I just say how dangerous it is too meet someone on t'interweb and go meet him - but bygones and all that...:rotfl:...

I can see why the Rabblement might be creeping in for you - with a Jellytot in tow it's better to have some sort of order ( and for your sanity ) and her stability and growth. I guess there are always ways to break free from it or prevent it from taking a hold on Jellytots existance - teach her to Disrupt as she goes.. :p:p:p

NannyG - how are YOU?? Great to see you hear, come sit down and have a cuppa! I can see why your friend wanted to just put the camera down for a bit - I managed to take 3000 (and lose 2000) when I did the Tran Siberian - which means I have to do it again obviously - but I am more discerning about what I take picture of now.

    Hello AppleMuncher..... :hello::hello::hello:

So I joined MyFitnessPal today (again) and my waist and hip measurements are on there from 2011. That might be interesting. But I have added my desired weight and am restricted to 2000 calories a day. Which with exercise is easily done. I want to track my progress so am gonna have to get the App I think.

Was planning on gyming this morning but my 0030 bedtime told me otherwise. So I am going tonight. I have an actual PT session tomorrow in order to get a programme written.

More OT booked for next Sunday (12 hours this time) with a further 13.5 the week after. I have another request pending but think I should take a weekend off this month as a friend is visiting from Zurich and we might meet for lunch. And I need a break.

Right that's as interesting as it gets today.... Sorry. :rotfl:

Yes a slightly meandering course through life shall we say.. The scenic route.. :rotfl: The ex didn't have much to say in the end. After living together for 6 months post break-up and having various items of mine broken, him breaking his hand punching the fridge ( mini :rotfl: ) and billions of privacy invasions, discussions with my mum in earshot about my mental health and mass arguments, he just gave up and told me I was always welcome back. Not if you paid me mate...

I do think that rabblement, stability and security are good for a jellytot in the smaller years of her life. She is the living embodiment of disruption though so I am not too worried yet. When things get a bit too rabbly I shall just up and leave with her and go and live on the Isle of Wight in a field with some cows.

Ref work, must have been frightening asking the question, so well done you. Glad it is easy, your spidey-senses are obviously sending you that way. I survived, you will too. Women with brains, panache and indomitable spirit are rarely without job offers. You've all of that in spades and are sure to pick up even more on your travels.

More liberating than you can imagine. But yes you are exactly right - I am just curious as to what I can turn my hand to now! Milking fresians on the Isle of Wight perhaps...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Can't believe the ex told you you were welcome back - he must of thought he was making such an amazing offer. In some respects your journey of wanting out and staying out is a little like mine with this job - they have left the door open for me to return - I would like to close and lock it thank you very much....:)

    Well... what a week!

The mechanic has just this minute hung up from returning £37.50 (labor charges) on work that was not needed on my motorbike. It was budgeted in my expenditure this month @ £70. It actually cost £97.40. They did not check whether I needed new brake pads before changing them. So I guess a small refund is better than nothing. I cannot return used brake pads considering I left in anger when I realized I had been mugged off.

Lost my Oyster card yesterday after the longest more irritating day ever. I could not use the normal train service for some reason yesterday so had to take another to the opposite side of town to where my cinema is in order to meet a friend.

Then walked 30 minutes in the heat from the train station as the buses were diverted due to an accident somewhere and road closures. While carrying my gym kit.

Along the way I lost my Oyster card vanished. But I only realized once I got some shopping at Morrisons... queue a panic and a £2.40 fee to use the bus and then heading straight to the gym without coinage for the locker.

Managed to get a £1 coin from a lovely PT - then walked home after a bout of HIIT by which time I was exhausted.

Got home too late to call Oyster ( phone battery had died ) so calling them today meant a 24 hour delay on transferring money to my new Oyster I had lying around.

    A £12.50 ticket into work this morning...:mad::mad::mad:

I honestly hate days like this. But realised it's a manifestation of a few factors....
    • I am very tired.
    • I am not concentrating.
    • I am rushing around too much.
On top of that however I am grateful for the following...
    • Legs that allow me to walk where I want to and when I want to.
    • That is was not raining yesterday.
    • The funds to buy a ticket this morning.
    • The refund from my mechanic.
    • Registering my Oyster card in the first place for the transfer.
    • A quite house when I got home to de-fume.
    • My Mum sending me my new bank card and a secret £5'er.
    • The fruit I will buy to get me through Sunday's 12 hour shift with said £5'er.
    • The fact I can do OT to recoup my financial losses where others can't...
So there you go. That my frustrations out and confessed. So I am moving on with my day!

Pay-slips are in and I got a little more than expected. A full £1500 will be in my travel fund some Monday morning.

    BOOM - £5500 ........:T:T:T:T

I am off to do actual work now....

Snoggers and snuggles to you for the worst day ever. My pants day pales in comparison so thank you for the reminder that somewhere else, someone is always having a worse day than you. Sorry it was you though...!

Yay to the £1500 added to the account. How exciting!!!

I love mums and secret money :) Thinking about going home to see mine on a flying visit this weekend. Not very MSE at £64 for just over 24 hours at home. Needs must though. We shall see.

    Have a lovely day!!
