Yes yes - see I am going crazy and can't even calculate properly... £3000 to the Aussie account and £7000 to come with me... silly NSK..:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hello Siousxie / Hello Peaty / Hello JackieBlack and Allieb
So yes - there are ways and means of making this happen even if I can't add properly! There is always a little "arrrrghhhhh" moment now and then but I am sure it will all fall into place as long as I keep my eye on the prize!
Spent time with family yesterday and ate lots of good Lebanese food ( my cousins husband is from Lebanon) so I am in the middle of recreating a lot of it now for work tomorrow...
Few days until I head home on Wednesday to see my Dad's garden in full bloom so this week will be super easy. I have refused to book in luggage so will be travelling light with hand luggage only...#cheapskate..
I am the gadget girl! :rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Payslip is in and £1300 is going to the travel fund bringing me to a grand total of £5000 (although £2300) has been spent.
More NHS jabs tomorrow - I think it's number 2 of the 3 Hep B injections needed.
Appointments made for Japanese Encephalitis (x2 @ £100 each) and Cholera which is just a pick up during the Jap B appointment as you take it from home.
Considering a GPS system especially as I intend to head to some weird places but not sure if I need it right now...
Watching RSPCA Australia yesterday! Makes me realise how much I want to see Oz and can't wait to get there. So many memories come back to when I was 8 years old at my Grand-parents house, hearing the ciccadas chirruping in the bushes, throwing mulberries at my brother from the mulberry bush in the garden, picking lemons off our tree, green peppers from the plants outside and walking to the local shopping centre to replenish my hideous scrunchy collection ( they had to match my leggings :rotfl:) and Christmas day on the beach!...

I am cancelling my pension plan for the next five payslips. It won't make much of a difference in the long term as I have had it with my current company for 7 years but been working for 13 years... Thats about £1000 right there. Wish I had thought of this sooner!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. It's been hard to write here for the last month. No travel money has been spent. No more travel arrangements made. It's like I am waiting. Waiting for the cue to get going and find those last bits and bobs that will make life on the road easier. I am not sure who it going to give this permission though. The steep realization that all major decisions are now down to me, me and only me is thrilling as much as it is frightening.
I have had many thoughts running through this head of mine over the last few weeks. Bouts of loneliness are ruined by injections of glee. I have made my own future by following my dreams. I have to take what comes with it.
I am ultimately happy with my decision. There hasn't been any panic that perhaps this is not such a wise idea, there has been no second thoughts and no halt to the proceedings. Just a slow steady push towards my goal - leaving the UK.
I went out on Saturday to Kew Gardens. I am usually in church on Saturday but this day called for me to be out in the nature created by my God ( see how I put in "my" God and "our" - there is not wish to offend ) and it got me to thinking. What would be my purpose.
My decision? To focus entirely on health, beauty and nutrition. Basically complete and utter self indulgence. :T:T:T Okay not really....... but cookery lessons at a vegan school in Chang Mai, massages in a traditional Laos sauna in Luang Namtha, Yoga in Cambodia and possibly laser skin renewal at a hospital in Bangkok to sort out my scars........ and basically seeking out local and traditional ways that people remain healthy, encourage natural beauty and cook amazing dishes.
I always say that if you have a plan and know what you want to see - other things will become available to you. Or you will come across something that you might never have experienced if you were swayed off your path..
Stay true to what you want and who you are!
In keeping with this desire to stay healthy on the road and possibly reach Optimum Health I am considering possibly bringing a Nutri Bullet with me.. a small compact blender for smoothies every day. Now don't go calling me crazy (yet) but it will be down to weight and sizing and whether it can go in my backpack nicely and not get squished.
I intend to stop dying my hair and worst of all leave my hair-spray, velcro rollers and straighteners at home. This is back to basics, au natural healing. Time to let my hair alone to just do what it does best. Grow.
My skin is going to be an issue... I have breakouts now that are huge but completely invisible under my mineral make-up. I use one tub a month but intend to only bring one tub with me for those special days / nights out. No point wearing make-up in humidity high enough to melt me... but it will be a steep learning curve of acceptance of my own self. Especially in the way I deem other people to see me. ( I can be a bit glam sometimes but am able to turn my hand to use anything I can...)
So that's my recent ramblings.
Raise your coffee / tea mugs to health, beauty and nutrition. Let's keep our bodies clean - its the only one we have..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Oh and my pension has been successfully cancelled. With enough OT now for at least the coming payday and two after I should be on track with my target as if nothing has been spent (£6000). All hail overtime shifts and not having a life...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. CEW - Hello!....
I will have a travel blog and will encourage everyone to come over and leave comments as they wish. I really want to hear how you are all getting along as your interest, comments, challenge participation etc has been invaluable in keeping me on the straight and narrow.
I won't be continuing MSE as I travel as I feel to an extent it will be a chapter that's closed for me but I really really don't want to lose the people I have met...
So fingers crossed people will check in on my blog every so often. Which is yet to be created...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
