  • Hey Catriona... I wish I was heading out there a little earlier! You must be counting down the days!!! Yes my mother's parents moved there when she was 1 years old and she got citizenship. By descent then obviously I did along with my brother. I gotta use it now.. time is ticking..

  • So I have realised I need my drivers license in my current home address asap so spent the best part of an hour doing it yesterday online.

Stupid DLVA kept logging me out everytime I had to run and get more information...passport number.... counterpart (ok I shoulda had that handy)... national insurance number.... blah blah blah... still not sure if I have to pay for it. I get the impression I do but they haven't asked for it....?

And most of my papers are still in boxes in the garage of my new place. And it's FREEZING!

However that is where my planning has got to. I have also got a my appt for the 4th March for my innoculations with the new GP - how exciting!!! Wonder how many I can get out of them! If I smile nicely! :o

Passport application on hold I think until I get my license back although I am going to have another read and see if I can skirt around it although it's the best option for a photograph/address combo!

So there you go...... AND I might have to use that lingering £25 (sorry Peaty) to pay for a key fob access at my local train station in order to use the caged bike rack - extra safety you see!

I didn't have to pay either NSK. It also comes through really quickly. I reckon you'll have it in less than a week.

I've suddenly come over all motherly, but I'd be happier with you taking the bike to the station rather than walking - all those early mornings and late evenings, the bike's a safer option. £25 seems an excellent investment in your safety!

Oh, and I agree with Emzilla. I didn't pay to update my licence with my change of address either :D
  • Awwwww Siouxsie - you love me you do! :T:T:T... I didn't mention that when I return the key fob I get the £25 back did I... win-win situation I think! And you are right. I don't know how long I could keep this up for. My legs are aching as we speak! I just need to get on with repairs as I think I have a puncture - the only thing it is that since it's a ride to work / bike to work bike I have to get insured.. Will need to look into this!

Big :T:T:T for not paying the DVLA.. I was almost sure I didn't have to but couldn't quite remember.

  • For the crazies who want to travel with little people - this is a list of the best.

  • Travelling with tiny people!!??!?!! As mother of a tiny people myself, I can assuredly say I cannot think of anything worse. That backback of yours may just fit a couple of hours worth of tiny people gear into it Kat....

This is a great idea, it's such a small price for extra security (assuming you lose it and don't get your money back).

Also travelling with tiny people is scary. They run all over the train despite being on a lead! At that time in the morning, they should be sleepy like the rest of us!
  • Well chickadees you were right. My license came through on Thursday - that was FAST!! So I just need to locate my every helpful boss to counter sign my passport pictures and form and I think I might be able to send it today or tomorrow. I think all the "evidence" and the payment is taken with me to the interview.... EXCITING!!

Currently on "live chat" with an O2 bod who is "hopefully" going to cancel my extortionate O2 phone contract. AND unlock my phone so I can get a Virgin sim only contract for £15...(unlimited calls, texts and data by the way although I bet theres a "catch"...

So my funds are depleted a little with the planned rucksack/ shoes purchase. It's not nice to see. I am a little under £2000 and need to get it back up there. I have £100 sat in my paypal account and might just transfer that over for physcological reasons as the passport payment might not happen until March anyway and by which time I will have hopefully sold a few more things on fleabay who are hitting me with extortionate fees at the moment...

I have been given another two OT shifts this month following the one I did yesterday and I think it might add another £300-£400 to my pot in April as mentioned before March will be a naked month...eek..

Just when I need cat food and littler... Grr! But might bulk buy it again.

EDIT - Mike the O2 guy is annoying me..
