  • So I am in my new house! Wow! What a palava! Okay not as bad as it could be. The van man arrived on time, we loaded the van together, he set off on his own with Mog strapped in the front (in her box I might add) and I told him I would meet him at my friends house.

Shortly there after I realised I must have packed my bike keys! :o LLL drove me to my friends house, we off-loaded my bed and bookcase which I donated to the poor woman ( she's preggars and has been using Hubby's bed that he had while he was at Uni..)..and I hitched a ride with Zack the Van Man to the new house. New LL gave me a massive hug! :rotfl:

SO I got back in the van with Zack who was heading home via my old place. And having rooted through my "bike and cycling box" I got my spare keys out and whizzed home. New LL was out by the time I got back so I got to potter a bit and set up my bed and Moggy's home. She was not pleased! Hidden under the sofa cover when I got in but slowly she is coming round to her new abode.

Best thing..? LL is away until friday because of his shifts! THANK YOU!!!

So I walked to the station this morning. Not as bad as I thought it would be. 40 minutes, a bit sweaty but I carried all my work stuff seperatly and changed when I got in. Not bad eh? So I am ordering my new walking shoes this morning though...

Archery tonight so I will get home at about 1130pm and have to be back up at 0400 for a super early shifts. GREAT!!!

Anyway... as I said on my other post I am greatful for the legs that carry me to the station but I am determined to get rid of some stuff now having seen how much carp I have! And I thought I had done a good down-sizing job! Grr!

Peaty I had to take money out of my account last month so no interest was paid. Gonna leave it alone now though..

Hi Luckystarr... thank you for the :j:j:j.. I keep pushing forward that's all I can do. Amazed at my savings pot compared to this time last year! :T...

So the agenda today - find a GP to register with near me (this week) and book appt for first innoculations.

    Whoop!!!

It all sounds great NSK :)

I've not read through the entire thread, so this may already have been covered.

It might be worth getting quotes for your travel vaccinations, as they are not provided by the NHS so you will need to pay a fee.

  • A few quick results before I head home in the daylight and see my new town with people in it..

1 / New Rucksack picked up today. Looks a bit small compared to the one I have (26L vs 44L) but maybe that will encourage me to pack less.
2 / Australian passport application recieved last night.
3 / Need to change address on my driving license tonight in order to use it as one part of my ID for said Ozzie passport.
4 / Moggy didn't destroy the sofa last night. Lol!
5 / I have blisters on my feet and my new shoes don't arrive until next week but I am invigorated by my new found walky freedom! Saves £40 a month you know!
