Rachylou I can't really add much that hasn't already been said by others. I know how awful it is, we (OH and I) went through the same thing. I hope whatever happens from now that you get all the care and support you need. Thinking of you.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Thanks again for all your kind words
Mancmama, thanks for that support thread, I am reading through the last few pages and have read your experience and it has certainly helped me prepare for what is happening to me. Not sure if I will post yet but it's good to have somewhere if I need to as I don't think here or TTC thread is appropriate0 -
Thank you for the welcome back Mancmama. My holiday was nice but I am glad to be home. We had a friend's wedding today and have not long been home, so feeling exhausted now as my body is still on Turkish time and woke me at 5am (7am their time). I have terrible bloating and get tummy ache a lot at the moment, which I remember getting with Poppy. Other than that, very few symptoms. The holiday was a good distraction for helping time to pass quickly. I'm about 6 weeks tomorrow I think.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hi all
How have your weekends been? This was my most difficult one so far. Didn't manage to keep the secret at our night on Friday. I couldn't come up with an excuse not to drink and since it was only OHs best friend and his fianc! we decided just to tell them. Meant I could relax and not feel I had to sneakily order my mocktails!
Yesterday wasn't so easy. Girls day our to see a show with all my aunts and cousins. Was ok at first as a few people were suffering so I didn't look odd having a soft drink but the we went for a meal and there was a few questions asked, especially when my closest cousin decided to ditch her car and start drinking. I just made up a load of rubbish and they definitely suspect but hopefully I can tell them tomorrow anyway so not too long!
Really nervous about my scan tomorrow. It's not til the afternoon and I'm taking my dad for a chemo appointment in the morning so a stressful day all round!0 -
Aww best of luck for your scan tomorrow Pinkpetal as well as the chemo appointment in the morning for your Dad. What time is your scan?Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Thanks mouse. Scan is at 3.30. Just so anxious about it and OH is getting annoyed with me for being such a pessimist. Got all the parents coming over later for Father's Day dinner and obv it'll be the main topic of conversation as they are all mega excited but I'd rather just not talk about it! I know that sounds really silly!0

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Pink Petal. x
Very glad you had a lovely holiday mouse. Hope you have brought back some of the turkish sun with you lol x
We had our dinner at the indian restaurant last night with OH family. I was worried about keeping it a secret with all the smells of lovely spicy food going on around me, however I really needn't have worried as hubby barely waited for us to sit down before blurting out the news...grrrr! He just doesn't feel the same nerves as me at all.
Symptom wise I am finding that I am being sick everytime I try to eat anything that isn't a bowl of plain cereal or toast. Completely driving me up the wall. Roll on the 2nd trimester lol.Nov Grocery challenge - £0/£3000 -
Good luck with your scan tomorrow Pink Petal! Hope your Dad's appointment goes well too. What a day for you!
We were at a friends bbq last night and ended up telling pretty much everyone. We managed to find babies heartbeat on Friday evening with the doppler which has made me feel much better about everything, and probably why I felt relaxed enough to share the news. It was lovely to have baby talk with a few of the girls who have had kids and been through it all themselves.
12 weeks tomorrow... finally!!!0 -
pink petal I completely understand your nerves. As the 12 week scan was when we found out about Poppy's condition, I will be a wreck when it comes to ours. Fingers crossed that it all goes well for you. I hope the dinner isn't too overrun with baby talk.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
