tata.. kind of like a stitch, a sharp almost tearing sensation at the left or right side of the abdomen.. the niggly pain is possibly just the stretching of the ligament at the front of the pelvis.. usually this is just an intermittent thing when you have done too much however it may be the start of PGP which can become quite debilitating.. just be aware of it, your legs won't fall off just yet I promise ;)

Thanks. Just feeling a little niggly, it's not a pain as such so I think I'm fine. OH is away on business tonight as well so I'm probably overthinking and feeling a little vulnerable.

Will have to look up PGP - I've no idea what that is!

pelvic girdle pain.. as it says.. its pain.. caused by the loosening and inflammation of the pelvic joints.. if you get it, you know.. I'm doing well, my crutches are still in the cupboard. I needed them from about 14 weeks last time.. :/

God! Well no wonder women have kids, the amount of chrap that gets thrown at us!

Sorry I feel like I'm being a paranoid newbie! Plus, where I live there isn't a service like in UK/Eire where you can call a midwife and ask first timer questions - makes me slightly nervous about my care tbh :( my scan has been pushed back to Monday, which is probably making me feel worse tbh. I'd just like to know if everything is okay. I'm such a worry wort. I know I should be relaxing and not thinking the worse but I do!

It is normal to think the worst.. and be utterly paranoid.. and there is no such thing as a stupid question if it helps you stop worrying! And if I can help, I will :)

I wasn't born knowing utterly everything :p I had a first pregnancy once.. he is 25 this year!!

Scans are ridiculous here.. by dates I am 14 weeks on Friday which is when my '12 week' scan is.. I'm also ancient so utterly convinced there is something wrong and it will be too late to do the accurate measurements.. but I will cope whatever is thrown at me. :D The hospital said it was my fault the scan is so late.. I said no, I called at 5 weeks to arrange a booking appointment, of which you do 3 a week so I was 11 weeks before I was seen.. that is not my fault! What will be, will be I guess.

Ladies, I come bearing wonderful news. Had our 12 week scan this morning and everything is just perfect.

We are overwhelmed that such a wiggly little tinker, who has given us so many sleepless nights and way too much vomiting is actually doing really well.

It's lucky number 7 for us - having lost 6 before, we are truly blessed.

And do you know what, just as I got home, we had the most amazing rainbow come out over our house - we were right in the middle of it, it's got to be a sign....

I'm going to love you and leave you and head on over to the next thread as they've dated me at 12+6 so think it's time to say au revoir for now (off to France in 2 weeks snowboarding - although I shall be laying around reading lots as I'm not allowed to snowboard or ski) but I will be keeping an eye on you all as you have been so wonderful to me with your kind thoughts and messages of hope.

See you soon on the next thread!

    Much love
    Gelly

Gelly, delighted to hear that! Hoping to join you soon on next thread!

Pigpen, fingers crossed everything is okay... Just read on another board that in Ireland, some women don't get scanned at all until 23 weeks, it's horrifying.

I've back and hip pain today, must be all the housework I did earlier. Hubby is home at 10 tonight and I just can't wait for a hug.

Gelly that truly is the best news ever.. I have a big chhesy grin on your behalf.

tata.. with my oldest I had 1 scan at 18 weeks and that was all. it must be very worrying.

I moved earlier and think I may have separated some scar tissue somewhere judging by the searing pain.. I had to do a knicker check the pain was so severe.. I just need to be more careful.

2 people asked me today if I would consider having more children.. I ignored the question and made a comment about parenting cats lol

Gelly I'm so so happy for you x

I've had a pain at bottom of my ribs on left side for past 3 days. Days 1 and 2 it would come on in pm and go overnight but since yesterday it has been constant. Think I'll text the MW tomorrow just in case. Doesn't appear to be round ligament pain as it seems too high up.
