Where is everybody? It's very quiet on here - I hope all is well with everyone.

Had blood tests on Friday to check my iron levels and thyroid function as well as some other things as I've been so exhausted, shivery, hair falling out etc.

The heartburn that I had so badly in my last pregnancy seems to have become apparent already, though on the plus side I don't seem to be being sick yet. (fingers crossed I've not just cursed myself)

Hope all is well with everyone else. x
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • All ok here.

I've been getting heartburn too :-(
Had a couple of stomach aches but no sickness yet thankfully.
  • Hi all. I'm still here too. I hope everyone is ok.
If I'm being honest I'm trying hard not to think about it too much - virtually impossible, I know. I'm scared of a repeat of the last time. I desperately want to feel sick, although my boobs are sore so that's a good thing.
I've got my booking appointment on the 22nd.
Much love to you all. X

Oh good luck for the booking in appointment claretsgirl - still not heard anything from the midwife yet about when mine will be. I'm 6 weeks today though, so may not be for a couple of weeks yet anyway.

kroberts I've had stomach ache too and terrible trapped wind. lol

  • The trapped wind is horrible - I go through the whole day burping away - but I've not had any morning sickness so in some ways I quite welcome it, that and heavy/sore boobs are the only sign that something's there!

Not much to report here either, had an appointment with the consultant on Thursday which didn't achieve very much - he just agreed that all looked fine and book myself in if I need anything later  I'm booked in for a glucose tolerance test at 24 weeks, midwife at 25 weeks, and a chat with an anaesthetist at 34 weeks. None of which I wanted to book, I feel like I'm counting so many chickens before the scan on Thursday! I hope this anxiety will calm down, it's killing me :(

Big hugs Black Ribboner - can I ask what the consultant etc is for? I hope the time between now and the scan goes quickly. I feel exactly the same way as you regarding finding the symptoms reassuring as it was so different with my last pregnancy (feeling and being sick by now). Part of me is grateful I'm not being sick, but another part of me wants it to happen to know that everything is going the way it did last time. A friend of mine has told me to do the downward facing dog yoga pose to help relieve the wind, but it just makes me dizzy when I get up, and I've read that it's not good if you've suffered from diastasis rectus (separation of the stomach muscles in pregnancy) as it puts extra pressure on them to hold everything in against gravity. I'm sticking to my chamomile tea at the moment which helps a bit. If you've not had one before, take something to eat in your bag to have after your GTT blood test, as I felt very faint afterwards due to the fasting, and my husband had to take me straight to the canteen to get something to eat as I was so wobbly.

  • Morning all. I'm sad to say I'm leaving this thread. I no longer feel pregnant, no nausea and once again the bleeding has started.
I have taken myself off the list. Much love to you all. x

  • Oh claretsgirl, I'm so terribly sorry to see this news first thing this morning but as soon as I saw your name against this thread, I had to pop in and see if you're ok.

I'm devastated for you both - please take very good care of yourselves, you know I understand how you're feeling but nothing right now will take away that pain.

If you ever want to chat, please feel free to PM me.

    Lots of love and hugs
