Welcome to all the newbies. Nice to see more activity on here now.
I have caved in and booked an early scan for Friday morning. I have been feeling so rotten I need to reassure myself there is a healthy baby in there and that will be worth all I'm going through
All day nausea, worse in the evening and the last few days I have had to take a couple of naps during the day. I haven't and am not going to work this week, but have felt a bit better today. Though I did get a bit sunburnt in the garden
I got some anti sickness tablets from the doctor, same as I had last time, and she reeeeeally did not want to give me them. Can't understand why as they were fine last time and not known to have any adverse affects on baby. However I have only taken them if really needed and only one today out of 3 I could have.
I have been trying to find baby's heartbeat on a Doppler, I know it's early, so not too worried. Would be nice to find it though.
Friday can't come quickly enough. 10 weeks and scan :eek:0 -
Welcome to the newbies!
Hieveryone, I am going to be honest, I have had two missed miscarriages and with both I had no morning sickness. I don't have any signs of it arriving with this one either so I am really worried (actually I am in a state of absolute fear most days). Having said that, plenty of people don't have morning sickness and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. My sister never had it and had two straight forward pregnancies. From someone who has never had morning sickness, it is hard when people say that you don't want it as it is horrible. My doctor even told me that not to worry when you get morning sickness as it is a sign things are progressing. Thanks for that. Great reassurance when you don't get it! You only ever think the worse. Try not to worry, take a day at a time. It might hit you yet! Look at the extreme from frozenpenguin to Lulu!
Diamond orchid and jwil, good luck at your scans tomorrow.
Rambosmum, how did your booking in go?0 -
Morning sickness is horrid! It should actually be called all day sickness in my opinion.
It's not yet hit me but I'm sure it will soon. I didn't get it until 6 weeks in my first 2 pregnancies and 8 weeks in the last. I was hardly ever sick just felt dreadful. With my first, we went to Venice when I was 6 weeks and the sickness had just started - I couldn't look at the photos without feeling sick until after DD1 was born!
I have my appointment with the GP this morning to get things going with maternity care.
Is it wrong that I've been looking at maternity clothes for a wedding we're going to in late August?0 -
Little moog, so sorry to hear your news.
Welcome to all the newbies.
I'm 6 + 2 and morning sickness started today - I was eating my breakfast and gipping with cereal in my mouth! But not actually been sick yet.
Appointment was fine, got to fill some things in and go back in 2 weeks. I got a little pack with info in and I'm being referred for my scan. I had to decide where I was giving birth!0 -
Oh and I've been referred to an endocrinologist and a cardiologist (I have a mitral valve prolapse).0

Argh don't use me as an example as I think the dreaded morning sickness has arrivedafter feeling ridiculously queasy yesterday and it has moved to this morning!
I'm getting a strange twinge in my pelvic area. It can be painful but it's not stopping me from doing anything so although I'm worried I think I'll be okay. Only 2 and a half weeks until I see the midwife..Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I've had period pain-like cramping and spoke to the midwife about it yesterday and she said as long as there's no blood and it doesn't feel worse than a bad period it's probably fine.0 -

Google is not my friend!
Looking up why I haven't had any serious morning sickness like you see in films/shows etc, and I come across lots of articles about missed miscarriage etc.
Now I'm working myself into a state - any one have any reassuring words? I have an early scan on Monday but the way I am feeling right now I almost don't want to go incase it is bad news
I had nausea in my last pregnancy, which ended as a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks.
My pregnancy with DS had no nausea or symptoms whatsoever, other than a bit tired.
Never google things!! If it is meant to be, it will be xShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Sorry Lulu. Didn't mean to tempt fate.0

Have had really bad cramping now, I *think* (hope) it's actually coz I need the loo rather than anything more sinister.0
