  • Gelly that is so frustrating having to wait an extra week for your scan! You'll have to keep yourself very busy and occupied and hopefully it will go quicker and you'll be distracted :)

So far I've had a scan at 7 weeks, 10 weeks and one bookedfir what will be around 13 weeks- that will be the one when they can give us a more accurate date as baby will be a bit bigger then :)

Has anyone else got their mum to be bounty pack? I collected mine from asda yesterday :)

Sorry to hear your news ThinkPink :(

Got my midwife booking appointment tomorrow does anyone know if the urine sample is first thing or any time? The brown spotting finally stopped last week but then so did my sickness so now I am worried that I don't feel sick any more! Although glad it went when it did as it meant I could enjoy Christmas as up to the day before Christmas Eve I felt sick all day and could barely eat. Yesterday evening and this morning I had tiny amount of pale pink spotting so really worried :( going to mention it MW tomorrow not sure if they will scan me again as the EPU said to call back if it was red so I guess not.

OH is trying to persuade me to go to friend for drinks tomorrow evening and can't understand why all I want to do is put my pj's on and get comfy on the sofa thinks I am being boring but I am so tired by the evening I can barely talk and I'm working tomorrow then the MW. What is everyone else's plans for tomorrow?
  • Hi everyone, I'm joining you from the TTC board. I recognise a few of the names here. I think I'm 4 weeks tomorrow but doesn't feel real yet. This will (all being well) be #2. I have a 4.5 year old girl. It feels like a long time since I was pregnant!
  • Congrats and welcome muso :)

magpie- they didn't ask me to take a sample to my booking appointment so I just did one when I got there, which happened to be lunch time. If they've not specified then it must not matter :)

I also picked up my Emma's diary freebies today so I now have a "baby drawer" with all the useful bits. Eek!

Magpie - it doesn't matter what time of day you do the urine sample. Try and make it a mid stream sample as if it has to be sent for infection it's more accurate. Otherwise it doesn't matter.

    Welcome Musogirl

Dingdong - glad everything is going ok, it must've been exciting to tell everyone. So far we've only told the essential people, mostly to cover up the lack of drinking. Otherwise I'd have held on a bit longer, silly Xmas causing issues.

gelly - very annoying that they keep changing their minds. At least you'll see a bit more at 7 weeks.

Hello to anyone else I've missed.

AFM we managed to survive Xmas. My brother nearly gave the game away but was shut up by a swift kick. None of my other siblings seemed to notice. Good thing I wasn't drinking as an elderly relative collapsed on Xmas day at around 7 and I ended up driving to the hospital. Just proclaimed I was the most sober and in the stress no one noticed. Said relative is fine now and didn't have to stay in hospital. He was quite sick at the house and that nearly made me vomit. Managed to keep it together thankfully.

I'm having nausea but no vomiting. Came close on Sunday after being in the car for an hour on the way back from the in laws. Had to cancel our cinema trip so I could lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself.

Work has been tough as I've been exhausted. One of the patients (who I've seen once before) told me I looked exhausted. Er thanks.

Private scan on Saturday at 8+1 so not much longer to wait.
  • Missymoo thanks for posting, it's really good to hear that it's not a bad sign! It's just feels odd!! Due to Christmas we (well OH couldn't keep his mouth shut!) told our parents, my mum said she never had any MS or symptoms , and my sister was only affected by smells- so hopefully it's just normal for our family. It's disconcerting tho :(

Im a bit nervous about telling folk so early but Its done now. Hope that everyone enjoyed Christmas and got some rest

we are going out to a party for NYE tomorrow and I have bought my sparkling shloer so I can bring in the bells with some bubbles :o
  • I had a small amount of spotting and fairly severe cramping on Monday, so the doctor referred me to the early pregnancy clinic. I just found out they’ve booked me in for an early scan on Friday. I’ll be 5+6 then so they tell me it’ll be too early for a heartbeat, but they might be able to see a “flutter” (along with everything else), assuming everything is still growing as it should.

The spotting has stopped so here’s hoping it was just one of those things.

Happy New Year everyone, I hope everyone on this thread has a good one :)

Hello ladies - could I join please? I am 8 weeks tomorrow. I had an early scan at 7 weeks +2 due to spotting but baby is fine and I'm now looking forward to my 12 week scan beginning of Feb.

I've had a huge meltdown this evening - 24/7 nauseas And exhaustion are taking their toll. I can't seem to manage any normal household tasks and just want to lie on the settee and sleep - not going to happen with a 5 and 3 year old! Just feeling like it will never end at the moment. Hope everyone else is coping.

  • Happy New Year!

New bride- hope all goes well for you today

Gala- welcome to the thread! I hope you start feeling better soon. This is our first, I don't know how anyone manages pregnancy with small children to look after!

I had a bad day yesterday, felt rubbish and missed out on all the New year's day fun which made me grumpy! I've woken up in a grump today as well but determinded to snap out of it as its my last proper day off today! Anyone else struggling with hormones?!

I guess it's time for me to move on to the next thread, if you don't mind I'll stick around until Friday when I'll have my next scan which will date me more accurately :)
