    I've been making my lists - hair, shower and body done and I'm up to 67... a few have gone in the bin, and a lot have been selected for PP I literally have a shower gel with less than 1 shower left in it.. *rolls eyes*

    I *think* it's Potential Purchase but if anyone knows differently please feel free to correct me!

    It's Project Pan - you keep using the item until "you hit pan" - basically get to the bottom of the tub, tube etc, rather than swapping between numerous products.

    Hello again everyone! I've been lurking for the past few months, and although I have been recording my ins/outs, I haven't been posting as I feel a bit ashamed (my buying 'problem' is back with abundance! I've decided that today I will record everything and I'm thinking of taking a photo so I can feel empowered to do something!

    Hope you are all well and having a lovely new years! x

    Look forward to seeing photographs and a list! Welcome back :D

    My PP list:

    [STRIKE]1. Lee Stafford Arganoil 50ml[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2. Hello Kitty Liberty hand lotion 175ml
    3. Clinique dd moisturising lotion 125ml[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]4. Aussie miracle hair insurance 250ml[/STRIKE]
    5. TBS Almond hand & nail cream 30ml
    [STRIKE]6. TBS Morroccan rose body butter 200ml[/STRIKE]
    7. Sanctuary body lotion 75ml
    [STRIKE]8. Sanctuary Luxury Bath Float 250ml[/STRIKE]
    9. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturiser 30ml

    I'm ashamed to say that #1-4 are items from my December (and earlier...) PP - they are never-ending! I'm hopeful for January though.

    I'm trying not to buy anything anyway, so this is more of an "items to target" list than an actual PP. Helps focus my efforts though :D

    I am very jealous of the Lush and MAC stash you have there little pink!

    I was going to post my current stash list but the amount of MAC I have is disgraceful for a regular person...
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017
  • So after day 1 of declaring I would make no purchases, I have had an epic fail.

    Before Christmas I bought Olay 3 point regenerist serum as a present for someone. In the event, I didn't give this to them and so I wanted to take it back - I wouldn't use it and it's quite expensive. Could I find the receipt though? So I took it back to MrB thinking I would get a gift card or advantage card points, and planning on spending some of it on Benefit boi-ing (thank you to everyone who suggested different concealers. I'd love the Bobbi Brown but couldn't justify the cost - using a gift card would be a bit different though).

    It just shows how long it has been since I returned something to MrB - I was told I had to exchange then and there for products to the same value or higher. I was told how much the item was and went off to grab my products.

    Queued for the second time with £25 worth of products; Benefit boi-ing, Collection illuminating touch concealer and some hairbands, only to get to the till and find the serum was ringing through at £29.99. At this point I panicked, couldn't bear the thought of queueing for the third time and grabbed the nearest items which happened to be Nivea shower gels. I grabbed two (normal retail being £2.50) only to discover they were on offer, and ended up having to grab 5 to make up the money or the transaction couldn't be completed...:rotfl:

    So today's Ins are:

    Benefit boi-ing
    Collection illuminating touch brightening concealer
    Nivea sunny melon & oil shower gel
    Nivea sunny melon & oil shower gel
    Nivea water lily & oil shower gel
    Nivea cashmere moments cream oil
    Nivea happy time shower cream

    :eek:

    I've sat down with the receipt - each of the shower creams/oils would ordinarily have retailed at £1.99 or £2.59 each, but I picked them up half price. I'm also fairly sure I didn't pay more than £20 for the serum when I bought it but who knows.

    So all in all I picked up £37 worth of products for the princely sum of 84p (paid for by advantage card points) but I already had 7.3 litres of bath/shower gel and have just added another 1.25litres :rotfl::eek:

    It's all too stressful, I'm off for a lie down!
  • I was going to post my current stash list but the amount of MAC I have is disgraceful for a regular person...

    Lemme see!! :D

    Happy new year folks! Good to see the old faces back! And welcome to any newbies to the thread, this challenge is great and everyone is very friendly :). This is my second calendar year on the thread (I started in April 2012) and its really helped me.

    Some figures from me for last year - Total UUs was 133, total INs were 129 with 54 GAs/TAs, bringing down my total stash level from 283 to 225. Most of my INs were freebies so I worked out I spent about £40 all year - half of that was a perfume set I bought in the last January sale (had wanted it for ages). Which is ace. :)

    Sadly my 'toiletry sachet advent calendar' didn't get finished in December - I had a bad reaction to several facial cleansers I tried that made me break out in large painful spots so I had to ease off. I used up 20 instead of 24 though which is still pretty good going.

    From looking at my stash - I did a great job with moisturisers last year (used up 37 body moisturisers alone) but I really need to focus on makeup this year as I'm not getting through it. I don't wear it much so I need to bite the bullet and just throw things or give them away.

    With that in mind I've just thrown away my go-to foundation I keep in the office - it's more than 5 years old but I was nowhere near the bottom of the bottle. I have others I can easily replace it with though. :o

    Here's to great 2014 - I have a good feeling about this. :)

    Hi Catriona, gosh you did well with the body moisturisers last year, they and shower products have been my big problem, I have isolated several body creams that do not have matching shower product and am making myself use them up first. I hope that 2014 will be your year in all respects.
