Hi ruby_eskimo, can I ask how you use avene cleanance k? Do you use other avene products? I'm interested in trying them for my spotty skin.
    Thanks! :)

Hi Carolyn12 I use the Cleanance k as a night time moisturiser every other night. I alternate it with the Nuxe dry oil just to get some extra moisture into my skin. A majority of my skin care routine is Avene and I've been using it for about 4 or 5 years. I used to use the entire Cleanance range but have now started alternating it with some La Roche Posay products too. I would definitely recommend the entire Cleanance range for acne prone skin as it treats the spots without stripping your skin. If you've got any other questions about specific products then feel free to send me a pm.

    I've got another UU to report;

Aveeno creamy moisturizing oil - found another one in my bathroom cupboard that was almost finished and well now it's gone! Would definitely buy it again but have a few more lotions and potions to finish first!

Somebody on here mentioned that they were unable to use icons when posting on here. (Can't remember who it was and too lazy to scroll back to find it!) I was having the same problem when using Internet Explorer but can use icons in Google Chrome.

  • Uu Liz Earle hair oil, this is a hg item for me and unfortunately I have no more in the stash :(. This could be the undoing of my no ins in January pledge

    Happy pampering xo
  • The last of my sales online orders was delivered this morning and my DH raised eyebrows as he passed me the parcel underlined that I need to cease my purchases for a while.

I have a few subscriptions to beauty boxes so I cannot have no ins but my aim for 2014 is that all my toiletry stash need to fit in the landing cupboard. I will attempt to be ruthless about products that I will not use for the forseeable future and ebay where possible.

I do not have HG products for most beauty fixes but I will never find them if I dont actually use the products that I buy.

    So the ins:

TBS (this was from an order placed at the start of December which went missing)

    3 bath lillies
    4 pink grapefruit shower gel
    2 pink grapefruit body butter
    1 honey shower gel.

    Lush:

    2 x 100g rose jam
    2 x santas grotto - each contains 4 products
    2 x mr frosty - each contains 3 products
    5 x cinders
    5 x golden wonder
4 x shoot for the stars
    3 x so white

    Feel unique order

Elemis skin renew kit - contains bliss capsules, trienzyme wash, mini trienzyme mask, mini trienzyme night cream.

this came with a 4 item free gift.

    Whilst in Boots I purchased:

2 x Boots extracts cranberry gift sets - DD fell in love with the cranberry shower gel from a mini set we got before christmas.

    A few outs:

Amie eye make up remover - WMBA came in a beauty box and was quite effective, its not sold locally so will probably just stick to my garnier one.

Moshi monsters mouthwash - WBA DD likes character mouthwash.

Palmolive mediterranean moments argan and almond - WNBA bought in error I thought id picked up a different varient. Unfortunately still have another to go.

1.5ml sachet nivea regenerating night cream - WNBA too rich for my skin.

Mini Melvita apicoma body balm - WNBA - cannot imagine ever having skin dry enough to use this would make a better foot cream or cuticle balm. Although it showed in date this stank when applied (it smelt OK in the pack) I felt like I had rubbed myself in lard.

Glitter babes bath bomb - WNBA didnt do much

15 item beauty bundle made for my sisters birthday
    No more buying toiletries

My first UU For 2014 Bioderma Craeline 500ml it's taken me an age to finish but I got there.:T:T

I have another bottle in my stash however I have a open bottle of Loreal Michelle solution which I bought while I was away in an emergency as forgot toiletries bag

I also have half a small bottle of Clinique take the day off make up remover. So I'm going to use up both bottles before I open my next biorderma.

I have also started getting my over stocks together.... I bought a box with a lid and have started putting them all in there. I really didn't realise how much I had until I put it all together.
Seriously I can not believe I have bought that much !

I have loads of cleansers (bit of an obsession) and body lotion... However I'm rubbish at putting body lotion on.. What I have found that's helped this week is move my open bottle if body lotion into the bathroom... Since it's been in there I've used it everyday after my shower... Before I was rubbish about remembering.... I've also moved one of my many hand creams and lip balms next to where I sit in the lounge and I've used them more too.

    :)Moving products really helps:)

Welcome totallybored - I too have a scented candle hoard! I gathered them all together recently and have hundreds of tea lights and about a dozen large Yankee jars, amongst others :o so I'm trying to make use of them more.

    UU:

    4. Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day shampoo 250ml - WBA as it leaves my hair feeling very clean and soft, with no build up. Replaced with same.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

  • Good afternoon

Ive had my first UUs of 2014 which is the first step towards getting rid of the stash taking over my house...

1 Avon white lilies bubble bath WBA but not until June as I dont think I need to be buying anything until then but did love the fragrance
2 Boots extracts body balm WMBA if I ever get to the stage where I need to be buying moisturiser!
3 Champneys moisturiser in a red and gold tub WNBA as found the fragrance overpowering and clashed with my perfume

Already noticing a difference in my skin using products rather than just looking at them and looking forward to working out my HG products. Job for tomorrow is to work out a PP list as I got a large soap and glory set for xmas which I've decided I can only use when 25 products have gone so need to work out a hitlist!

    So I've just sorted through my bathroom cupboard and had to throw away 2 lush products because they had definitely turned;

Lush helping hands - love this hand cream but it wasn't the most practical to carry around with me so I'd forgotten about it! However I will definitely be buying it again to put on my desk at work once I've finished all my other hand creams.

Lush stepping stone - this had turned to mush in my cupboard and to be honest I wasn't a fan the first couple of times I used it which would explain why it was in the cupboard in the first place.

  • Hi all,

I've been a lurker on this board for a few months but thought with the New Year I should bite the bullet and join. I'm guilty of bulk buying products during sales and special offers and I am now running out of space in my 1 bedroom flat.

With that in mind, I headed off to the Pixi shop in London today to buy the Pixi Glow Tonic while there is a 20% off deal when you quote 'CAROLINE20' - I was going to buy a few to stock up, but I've come home with just 1, yes, 1 bottle!!!

It lasts for a long time actually, and to be honest I don't think there will be problems buying it again, although I don't know when the next promotional period will be, hopefully in time for when I finish this new bottle!

For those who are trying to buy it online, I was chatting with the sales assistant in the shop who reports that they are not out of stock, but they are trying to send out all the back orders before opening the stock online again. Apparently they received a shipment of 800 bottles so there is a huge supply! Just a word of warning, they have changed the bottle now so it no longer comes with the pump dispenser, although they still have some left in the shop so if you physically go there you can pick one up. So, if you prefer that bottle, then keep your old one and you can pour the new one into the old dispenser. The new stock is also a slightly different colour to the old pale yellow tonic, it's now a more reddish colour, but the sales assistant assured me it is exactly the same.

Happy using up toiletries people! :)
